Cleaness was ok, but the rooom was in TERRIBLE condition, shower was maintained in place by zip ties, electricity was done by wild cables, the bed was two stacked bad mattresses. I definitely would prefer sleep in my car then stay there another night.

Just not acceptable for the price

The guesthouse is charming and cosy in an elegant building close to the European Parliament. My room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The common spaces are lovely. Don't expect a hotel tough, it's a guesthouse with its charm and limitations.

Charming guesthouse close to the EU parliament 

On the positive side, the location is great and the room was mostly quiet. On the negative side, it was one of the oddest rooms I've ever stayed in. I could put my hands flat on the ceiling and I'm only 160 cm (5 ft 3). The bathroom was microscopic and it was hard to go around the sink to reach the toilet. There was an extremely strong room "freshener" that ran constantly and it triggered some kind of allergy for me, and the window opened to behind the stairs of the patio with an enormous ashtray. I was given no information on the breakfast and didn't receive it. I don't watch tv, but the room didn't have one. The woman who checked me in spoke only French, not English or German.

Significant Tradeoffs with this Accommodation

Great location, just few minutes to the subway, local grocery store (Delhaize), 10 min to the Brussels Park and Royal Palace. Terrassa apartment was awesome - very bright, high ceilings. Comfy. All you need for a long or short stay. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Very convenient for someone who doesn't like to go to restaurants 3 times a day...
Huge thanks to the personnel for being so helpful and attentive.

Great place in the heart of the city

I'm having a horrible experience. I have booked as two weeks ago and two days after the trip they say that my card is not valid. What happens is the credit card is debit, not credit because they hold the money before arrival. But it seems that I did not hurry, because I travel in nothing and here there is no response from anyone either to the phone or to the post office. I have updated the card with a credit card and nobody deigns to prove it, this is an outrage. I work tomorrow and I do not have time for this. Either they solve it to me today or I lose the reservation, it seems that on Sunday no one works. I'm stressed.

Booking in trouble

This is more like a hostel than a hotel. Maybe hovel is a better word. 

I arrived at the agreed time, around 9:15 pm, for the "deluxe double room" I had reserved. I was greeted by a pleasant but clueless young man who -- in spite of being probably half my age -- did not offer to help with my bags as he marched me all the way up three flights of stairs. 

What he brought me to was not a "deluxe double room" but literally the attic where a makeshift room had been hammered out of plywood at what had been a crawl space at the top of the stairs. There was only room for a small single bed directly under the skylight, which was leaking water in the rain, running down the wall to the foot of the bed. There was no ventilation. I could stretch out my arms and touch both sides of the room. The ceiling above the bed was too low to even stand. 

In spite of being originally advertised with a private bathroo, the toilet was actually elsewhere. I was aware of this due to my correspondence with the proprietor, Cornelius, but in hindsight this was the first clue that all would not be as represented. Of course he told me that I would probably still have the toilet to myself as it wasn't a busy period, I soon learned the hotel was full.

I was told this when I insisted on being given a different room. I was told that the only available option was a dank room I was shown deep in the basement. This was set up with multiple bunk beds as if ready for a crew of migrant workers. An insect crawled across the stairs as we descended. 

When I asked where my "deluxe double room" was, I was given the excuse that the owner was in the hospital. 

In the end the online reservation service I had used agreed to move me to a different hotel and I gladly escaped what was the worst hotel room I'd ever seen. The alternative given to me was not glamorous, but it was a palace in comparison to this dump.

Stay here at your own risk

My room bore no resemblence to the photos I remembered seeing on Trip Advisor. Looking again, I can see it in Corina Z's photos. Really very grim and certainly not worth the 417 euro I paid for three nights. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Lovely terrace, but too cold these days to sit on it. Great location near EU offices. All fine, except that horrid room!!! I think it's time to refresh rooms 201 and 202 (I was given the choice) to the same level as the others.

Very good conditions and facilities!!
The staff is very welcome and provide any needed information on place.
good internet signal, nice breakfast....I recommend this place for all business visitors.
