Hotel Akademia

It was our first time in Voskopoja and we didn’t know where to go, so following the streets we end up getting there . 
We loved the garden and surroundings of the hotel. The fresh clean air and the view were amazing for us and our kids . The food was excellent and the staff was really nice .
I would recommend it 🤗

Has been long since i last visited this place.
I was accomodated in one of the little bungalows and it was great.
The morning was amasing as the weather was fantastic.
If you are traveling there and are in group this is the best place to go. Worth a try anyway

We visited Voskopoje in early October and chose to stay at Hotel Akademia. We checked the prices online and 22 EUR per room was affordable for our budget. We had never been there before but we had heard only good reviews about them so we gave it a go. The hotel is approx 1 km from Voskopoja village and the road to the hotel is not paved but it can be traversed with a city car. After driving through the forest, chalets appears on your left and the road leads you to the hotel entrance. We were lucky to visit it in a sunny day and the view inside the hotel garden was fantastic. A large garden with families eating lunch and kids playing on the green grass... I think the hotel was under some sort of construction or maybe we were there in low season because there were only 3-4 families staying overnight. The reception was not in a proper reception room but we got serviced at the bar of the hotel, on the second floor. The prices were higher than online, approximately 30 EUR per room/chalet. After some negotiations we agreed to stay for the online price of 22 EUR per night. The staff is friendly and they were eager to assist us with anything we asked for. The chalets are nice, warm and large but the bathroom inside ours was too small. There was plenty of hot water but taking a shower was challenging. The chalet has also an electric stove with pellets but we didn't have to turn it on. There was no TV in our room and no fridge either, although we didn't need the latter. The restaurant of the hotel is OK, above average but not exceptional. Prices are OK, affordable even for Albanian standards. The waiter serving us dinner lighted the chimney too, although we were only a couple of tables in the whole restaurant. Great guys. 

The main buildings seemed empty and under construction and I suppose this place must be fantastic in full occupancy. Since you're in the middle of the forest, there should be plenty of activities engaging guests to have a great time. However, Voskopoja has plenty to offer like famous old churches and breathtaking scenery, if you feel like walking or hiking. 

I will hopefully visit it again mid-November this year.

Nice place

We went to the old town of Voskopoja and visited one of its very old churches. Then we had a nice lunch at one of the local restaurants. We decided to have coffee at Hotel Akademia. To our disappointment, the restaurant didn't serve coffee! The waiter said "No coffee, but you may have drinks". We didn't want any drinks... What a shame! They have such a beautiful outdoor restaurant but the customer service is horrible.

I been to this hotel in september but is not that i been very happy.The staff wasn't helpful and one of them was very rude.i don't know what to say but for me wasn't a good experience,so I would rate it between 2 and 3 stars...poor

Poor

Where do i start! Everything is old, furniture, sheets, blanket. Not only old but dirty too. The heat do not work. It was like torture staying there. The food its not bad but it's the worst in the area! Staff not friendly! Do your self a favore never go there!
