Very clean hotel, quiet area far from the noise of the center and near the center and beach
Very friendly staff and welcoming 
If I return to Dakar this will be my place

Excellent speed on WiFi

We initially booked a two night stay and then we were going out of Dakar but returning later. We liked this hotel so much that we booked it again for our return. It is a quiet oasis in the city, a walkable distance from many restaurants, a beach and other attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On our first stay they gave us a complementary upgrade for the room and on our second stay a complementary fold-down bed. The provided free breakfast was ample and good quality. Their restaurant has a nice outdoor courtyard. We had a problem with our room one night which was handled professionally and quickly. I also think the value here is quite good. Other hotels we looked at that seemed similar quality were generally 1 1/2 to 2 times the price. I would definitely stay here again.

A friend and I spent one night at this hotel before joining a tour group the next day. What a lovely hotel, where we were received with a warm welcome, with a glass of refreshing hibiscus juice. It was so delicious that my friend made her own upon our return to South Africa! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Modern room with a nice local vibe, everything functioning well, with a bit of wear. Well cleaned. Excellent WiFi for video calls.  No iron, but laundry/dry-cleaning possible. Staff very welcoming and very friendly. 

It's a small boutique hotel with no pool/gym, but is also without the taxis, vendors and visible security at larger, similarly-priced hotels like the Novotel. It is at the southern edge of Plateau, so very quiet, esp after business hours. Also close to Cap Manuel, where people walk/run Sunday mornings and enjoy the sea views.

Breakfast came with stay. Reviews suggest that it is limited, but there is a decent spread and one can ask for eggs prepared various ways, including as an omelette. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant has excellent quality (esp salads and seafood) and reasonable prices, which makes up for the lack of other restaurants nearby. Local expats know it well as they prefer it for business lunches.

The Rysara Hotel is a delighful Oasis in a quiet neighborhood of Downtown Dakar (Plateau). The rooms are very comfortable, of good size, perfectly tidy, and very well furnished and maintained. The staff at front desk as well as the chamber maids are very friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. There is a restaurant with indoor and patio seating on site. Only disappointment was the breakfast, as there were not options. However, management promised an update of the breakfast concept and expansion of options, so this should already be in effect at the time of publishing this review. In summary, the Rysara is definitely a recommendable place for business and leisure travelers.

Lets start with the good, Hotel is is convieniently situated in the quiet part of Le Plateau, so you are mostly guarded from the hustle and bustle of the traffic that can get quite hectic, its not too far from the City Center, infact it should take you around 15 minutes if you are walking. Room prices are reasonable starting at 80 000franc. The Hotel itself only has 16 rooms, so over crowding is not a problem, the staff are extremely helpful even with the language barrier (Sarrifang and Jasmine tried their best to accommodate my specific technical requests) The owner Nabiel Dallank was also on hand and extremely helpful.

On to the areas where i feel could use improvement, the breakfasts are small...bread rolls, some pastries and omlette on request. Their is no pool, no gym, limited tv bouquet. The internet could do with an upgrade, though wifi coverage is good in the hotel, when we were broadcasting we used all available bandwidth, making the experience for other guests less than satisfactory. 
Though not a fault of the hotel, there are limited resturants in the area, apart from the hotel kitchen (which is good) the only other place is the sushi joint around the corner. there's also a pizza place further towards the city if you feeling adventurous.

I feel what made this stay a pleasure, was the staff at the hotel, thank you Rysara we will see you next time.

Small hotel not that far from the city centre and seemed like a quiet area. A lot of embassies in the area which could help some visitors. The rooms were good as was bed comfort. The bathroom and water pressure was fine. If opening windows be careful of mosquitos at times. Laundry service is good. The restaurant was very good with lots of choices and well priced. Wi-Fi was strong most of the time.

A week in Senegal and the Rysara

Good staff - Nice hotel

One of the best

Not a very big hotel, but certainly worth considering.
It has spacious rooms, everything seems clean and the hotel is located in a reasonably quiet area.

You can lunch and dine in the hotel restaurant.
Staff in the restaurant/breakfast area could do with a customer training. Some of them were not really friendly - it was as if they didn't like working there.

Breakfast is very small. No buffet, no choice. Two slices of toasted bread, a croissant and two pieces of toasted baguettes, accompanied by some butter, a small quantity of jam (barely enough to spread the two slices of toasted bread) and a yoghurt.

The room has a television, but with only 5 or 6 channels, almost all of them French spoken. (TF1, CNews, RTS...) No English spoken channels.

Unfortunately, I had some issues with the airconditioning unit in the room. I could not operate it remotely. They said they would take alook at it when I mentioned it at the reception, but by the time I left, the problem was still not solved.

No complimentary bottle of water in the room.

Nice medium sized hotel

The rooms are spacious and the hotel is well lit, well located and overall more than adequate.  It is not special though, the fittings in the room are odd in places.  Just not finished properly.  It is attention to detail, I had an already opened and used mini jam pot for breakfast, did not receive the right order when placed...I could go on but I felt the staff just need more training or closer management.

Clean and friendly

Checkin in the 7th Feb 21. Was upgraded to a junior suite. Not a bad place to stay especially if you have a patient at the hospitals in the neighbourhood. Rooms need more cleaning and new towels is a must. Am sure the hotel is hit by the Covid 19 pandemic also. Everything else is perfect.
