Mongu is a small town with not much going on. After 7 hours of dodging potholes on the way from Lusaka, Acamms Mongu is one of the best places to in the area. Welcoming, friendly staff...clean rooms and quiet surroundings. More than enough swimming pools and a well stocked bar. My only criticism is the lack of variety on the menu, this is the case in most hotels in rural areas...the usual T-bone, nshima is always available but it does get boring after a while. That said, the staff will alway cook what you want if you supply the ingredients.
