Lucky Hotel - Phu My Hung

This hotel features large rooms with wide windows. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, on a side road in a new, international standard suburb.  My wife was able to negotiate a 50% discount on the original asking price of over 1.2 to 1.4 million dong a night. There are lots of Western restaurants nearby and a regional shopping mall, where you can expect Western prices.  It is on the opposite side of town from the airport, so is not the place for a short stopover.  The staff gave the impression that they did not have much experience in running hotels. Our reason for staying here was that friends live nearby, and we would stay here again if visiting them.

Nice and clean hotel in a good location in Phu My Hung. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have found the staff to be very helpful and outgoing. I would never hesitate to return again in the future. Prices here are very reasonable compared to many other places in the area.

Peace and quiet in Saigon

Nice Quiet Hotel

Was recommend this Hotel by a friend, and its one of the quietest hotels that I have stayed, v little road traffic outside, no horns or noises from the street.

Large rooms and powerful showers, 
Bed Sheets are not cleaned every day, but towels are changed, Laundry service is quick and cheap and you can pay for your booking in US Dollars or Dong.

Wifi Internet is slow but ok, 

This hotel is not far from the Crescent Mall (5-10 mins)and has great restaurants nearby that are clean and cheap as well.
Distance to District 1 is about 15-25 mins by taxi, and you can also get buses there as well.

Staff at the Hotel not all speak english well, however are v helpful in calling taxis.
The hotel feels like it could do a lot more, as the restaurant dinning area is only used for breakfast, and few staff or guests seen.

I would stay here again

Quiet Hotel and easy to get around

The Lucky Hotel is a good hotel. I stayed there 8 days. Not the Hilton but clean and off the busy streets. Simple Hotel. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near many eateries in District 7. Internet is good in the lobby but 50/50 in the room I was in (at the end of the hall). The LAN Internet was also a bit iffy. TV had many channels. Large rooms - really too large but fine :) quiet to outside noise inside noise is cumbersome. Overall, a good hotel. I had a good stay.

a good hotel for the money

I stayed there for a few months and its not a bad looking building.  Rooms are quite large, but you pay...there are better value hotels near by.

regretably there are some issues with customer needs that they could not satisfy and that centred around the lack of experience of the hotel management.  They really don't know how to help and once they know you are leaving they stop being nice to you.

The only major gripe is that they don't clean really well...and I like really clean rooms.
