Gracious hosts, great place to stay when visiting the Burlington, VT area. Clean and comfortable with nice amenities for a relaxing stay.  Nice trails to walk nearby.  Burlington also has a number of attractions and restaurants that we can recommend.  Among them the waterfront area, the "Spirit of Ethan Allen" cruises on Lake Champlain. The restaurants include Splash, SPOT (Spot on the Dock), Farmhouse Pub and Grill, Tiny Pancake and Ken's for Pizza.

Great Accommodations in the Burlington, VT area.

Came into town for a few days visit in Shelburne and Stowe. Stayed at Williston Inn. Right off the main road, easy to find and very convenient to everything. Was met by Neringa, our host with warm welcome and tips for the sightseeing in the area. Room was clean and nicely decorated... we had all we needed. We knew there was no breakfast from the description, but Neringa was very helpful in providing breakfast suggestions... no big deal! We THOROUGHLY enjoyed chatting with her several times on the very peaceful back porch and she is delightful!! If you are looking for a lovely, quiet inn with a gracious and engaging host in a convenient location-- stay at the Williston Inn. Thank you Neringa!!

Delightful Host, Great Location

We were on our way home from Northern Vermont and decided last minute to make an overnight stop in Burlington. 

We had no place to stay so I went on line  and found this cute little Inn. Still trying to say away from germs I didn’t want to stay in a large hotels. 

 I didn’t book the place on line, instead we drove directly to the Inn which is located in a residential neighborhood. I think I caught the owner good guard as she answered the door. 

I ended up booking the room and couldn’t have been more happier. When she showed us to our room (which we weren’t allowed to stay in just yet since the other guests had just checked out and there is a certain amount of time before the next guest could use the room). I was happy to see she had the windows wide open and was airing the place out. That’s when I realized I booked the right place. 

We pretty much just used the room to sleep. Once we arranged to stay there and saw the room we headed to the town for the day/night. 

The place is about 20/25 minutes from town which was a quick trip. 

Once we got back at night the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. 

Due to Covid they were not serving breakfast but had coffee/tea options in the room. 

The hallway is filled with memorabilia of the owner who was an Olympic Gold Medalist. He wasn’t there at the time but we would have loved to hear about his journey. 

There is a quaint screened in back porch that was lovely. We didn’t use it because we were up and out early the next morning, but would have been lovely to use if we stayed longer. 

Overall we had a great one night stay at this lovely Inn.

Cute Place For a Good Night Sleep

We stayed at the Williston Village Inn for one night as we were attending a family wedding in the area.  I was nervous about booking here because of the reviews, but did not need to be.  The inn is lovely and so is the owner.  We were met with a smile and there was a plate of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the living room. (yum!) As others have said the rooms are spotless and have beautiful furnishings. Our favorite part of the whole inn is the back porch.  It was a beautiful place to sit and sip coffee and tea in the morning.  I asked Neringa to take our picture out there and she was happy to oblige.  My only complaint, as others have said, is that there is no breakfast included, which I would expect for the price we paid.  I knew from the reviews not to expect it, but do think it should be stated on the website so that others would know before booking.  Otherwise, a lovely place that I would recommend.  We stayed in the Cherry Room.

Lovely Inn

Beautiful hostel near Burlington; old but well-maintained décor; superb welcome from the owner and excellent advice on the surrounding must-see; we had booked the suite that fully met our expectations!

It's charming.

Googled B&Bs in the Burlington, Vt. area.  Then googled B&Bs outside of Burlington.  This Inn came up.  It was initially entered as 1 of 2 B&Bs.  Later, once we could find it, we were told it was NOT a B&B, but an inn.  We expected breakfast but to no avail.  The Inn was difficult to find and the owner said that we had to run the zip code and not use a gps address.  The Inn was clean and the female owners was helpful, but it was pricey and with NO breakfast.

Discouraging

We stayed here for two nights recently after spending two nights closer in to Burlington. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. While the inn itself is nicely appointed, the welcome by the hostess was lukewarm, there was no breakfast provided, just keurig coffee and biscotti in a wrapper, and that was about it. The inn itself is filled with lovely antiques, and the room was nice, however with the recent heat wave and no air conditioning in the main living area, we did not feel like lingering. We will likely go elsewhere if visiting Burlington again. Nothing special at all about this B&B and actually felt like it was lacking warmth and a welcoming feeling.

This is a beautiful, antique inn which is situated slightly outside of Burlington. Definitely worth the drive though. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and there is always a plate of freshly-baked cake or cookies in the lobby. Outside of the winter months, there is also a great garden to enjoy. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful litte inn with great service!

Our stay was odd. Booked a room with two twin beds and ended up sharing the room with my son when his flight was cancelled.  No one in office at our arrival in the late afternoon, and no sign telling guests what to do. Asked someone sitting in back yard who directed me to a door marked Private. The owner came out and said the front door should have been locked o we could not get in!  We were shown our room which was fine, but I asked for an extra towel in the bathroom and was told No. The owner said " two guests, so two towels." I bought a towel at Wal Mart.
There was a coffee maker with tea in the main room, and the info book in the room said there were pastries available at all times, so when we were leaving at 10 am I assumed we could get coffee and a pastry ( there was no mention of other food, so we did not expect any). Instead, the owner was standing in the hall literally between us and the room with the coffee. She asked for our key and bid us goodbye.  We felt hustled out the door.  The Inn was more than the local chain hotels. We won't repeat the experience.

Like staying in a guest room.

I booked a room here for my wife as she was travelling from Los Angeles to Vermont to pick up our dayghter from summer camp.  It seemed nice and was reasonably near the airport as she would be arriving late at night - around 10pm.
The booking was through Expedia, through whom I had searched for a hotel - no coupons, discounts, special rates - just the regualr room rate for one night.
At 6:15pm on the day she was to arrive, while she was still in the air, I received an email from Expedia saying "the hotel cannot accept your reservation".  I spent an hour on the phone - from the UK - with Expedia trying to resolve this.  The first representative put the phone down on me as the didn't know what to do and the second lost me after 45 minutes and I was unable to reconnect.  I sent an email to the Williston Village Inn - they did not answer the phone, which I thought odd - and I have yet to receive any kind of response 24 hours later.
I found and booked my wife a room at the Hilton in Burlington as I needed to sort out something for a woman travelling alone late at night in a strange city.
Most of this fault is with Expedia, who were shocking, but the hotel owes me a response and explanation.  I have never in my life known a hotel cancel a reservation at all, let alone at the last minute.
Beware.
