Ace Lodge

My wife and I stayed at the Ace Lodge in Truth or Consequences for one night in early August 2021 while on vacation in southwestern New Mexico. We made a reservation by phone ahead of time just in case but there appeared to be plenty of vacancy once we were there. Mr. and Ms. Kern (the owners/caretakers) were very pleasant for making a reservation on the phone and for check-in once we arrived at the motel. This is a classic old school mom and pop motel probably dating back to the 1950s or 1960s just by looking at the architecture. Right up my alley! I love these old gems of the highways of yesteryear - especially the ones that are well kept and maintained. The Ace Lodge is conveniently located right on the main drag (N. Date Street) on the north end of Truth or Consequences. It's just a couple of minutes from multiple eating establishments, gas and a Wal-Mart if you must. The entire property is clean and well kept. Our room was clean and featured a small flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. Everything in the bathroom was in good working order and the air conditioner worked well blowing cold air all night long. Prices were very reasonable as well. Our room had two queen beds and the total came out to $55 and that included tax. This place is certainly nothing fancy but if you are looking for simple, clean and inexpensive accommodations and a place to lay your head for a few nights, I would highly recommend the Ace Lodge. We surely will not hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in Truth or Consequences.
