The Cole

The Cole was amazing! Such cute decor, super comfy bed, and so quiet.

A property just outside the busy downtown. The king suite room was very spacious, with a king sofa bed-not used by us- and two TVs. The pool area is gorgeous as is the hot tub. While they don’t have a front desk, the whole process was smooth. We were disappointed the French restaurant and the bar opened at 5pm. Earlier would have been nice. Overall we highly recommend the Cole!

Fantastic vibe, great decorations, highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Palm Springs.

I don’t remember exactly how many times I’ve stayed at The Cole of the top of my head…but what I do remember is that I  have loved every single time I’ve stayed at The Cole. OK, don’t get me wrong. There are some classic Palm Springs hotels that are icons and divas all on their own, but as far as modern world class amenities, that are new, clean and done with the touch of sophistication… There’s no comparison to The Cole. This property is simply a cut above the rest of them. Easy parking, secure access, self check-in these are just a few of the highlights before you even enter your room. And whoa, what a delight that will be.  New, sleek, functional living, working, sleeping and fun areas are the norm in every room here at the Cole. I truely love this paradise in the palm desert. Had a great trip! I spent five nights here for a conference and an opportunity to get back to California and see old friends. For the able-bodied, it's an easy enough walk to downtown, and for all it would be a quick ride. Taunted me with a view of one of my longtime favorite climbing spots atop the mountains. I didn't realize when I booked it, but I THINK it's now a Sonder property (apologies if I'm mistaken), and I've stayed with Sonder several times over the past year and I've been very happy. So long as you're fine being left alone and don't need room service and housekeeping each day (I don't), I think it's perfect. Not sure if it was a blip, but the pool/hot tub seemed to need upkeep when I first arrived, but upkeep happened and I very much enjoyed the hot tub, especially before heading to the airport on my final morning. My only slight complaint about my room is that, provided the curtains are open, it gets great natural light during the day but otherwise could do with additional interior lighting.

Clean, updated hotel. We didn’t get to hang out poolside as much as we hoped due to being busy doing other things in town but the pool and hot tub were great the brief time we did utilize them. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would recommend!

Staff were very inviting, friendly and awesome.

Chantelle was awesome! Great customer service, everything is done through text/website communication which is convenient. Parking was easy. I traveled during off season , in September therefore the hotel wasn’t as busy, which I prefer. My only complaint was that items were left in the refrigerator and also in the trash can, other than that awesome stay!!

Just need a fan on all night.  AC was on & off. Waking me up.

Overall the stay was fine.  It is a small,  but quaint hotel.  Looks like they converted the reception area into the bar. The bathroom was small with no counter space and the shower had the showerhead directly above you so it fell like rain.  That was not convenient.  We only stayed one night so did not try out the restaurant or the pool.  We may come back to give those a try.

A great stay

No big issues with my stay and I could see myself booking this property again. It's located off the main drag a bit so the neighborhood and general building were quiet when I was there. However the walls were a little thin and I could hear my neighbor talking and later snoring. I also wished the ac ran a little colder, it felt warmer than what I had it set to and kept switching off though I don't think it hit that temp. The facilities were very nice and clean though and the pool looked nice and the woman who checked me in was also very nice. It was overall a good deal especially if you're just staying a night. Also if you're not familiar with the area, it's close to the main strip of restaurants but Palm Springs generally isn't a big walking town especially after dark since they don't use street lights. I walked to my dinner destination but was in some pretty dark quiet areas at times though I know the area is safe so I wasn't worried.

This is a great PS option on the North end of town. Only a 10 min drive a South to all the galleries and shopping in the core areas. It was fairly empty while I was there so I can’t comment on room noise and I stayed on the second level so no one was above me. It is a classic roadside “motel” vibe with a modern overhaul. I’d definitely choose the Cole again.

Another wonderful stay at the Sonder properties. I stayed for two nights prior at a different hotel there in Palm Springs and it was complete trash compared to my stay at Sonder. Sandra is modern clean, clean, spacious comfortable all the things at the other place was not. I will continue to choose Sonder as my destination go to whenever traveling team SONDER all the way baby!

Great value, and nice combination of retro and modern.  The bed and pillows were amazing, and I loved the Roku.  Totally seamless experience - super easy. A great location with a breeze in the very hot summer. The only thing I’d change or suggest is to maintain the pool area a bit better.  Some cushions were torn, and the perimeter of the pool looked a little old and tired.

I will say that this place is pretty good value for the price. You DO have to note that nearly everything is an extra charge. Parking, cleaning, etc. However, some of these can be forgone, so in the end, if you just want a nice clean hotel, with a good pool, that's not too far from downtown, the Cole is a great option.
