Short North Guesthouse

I stayed here in June in the loft room. I found everything extremely cute & quaint as well as well-kept and clean. Though we never saw another person in the space, I didn't need to, and actually enjoyed the privacy. Though the caretakers were very responsive via email so I was never concerned. The loft ladder was steep, so just be aware of that if you are older or nervous about heights (night time bathroom breaks were a little tricky). I also HIGHLY recommend going to the Fox in the Snow for breakfast. You will receive free vouchers. It's a couple block walk but the atmosphere is super hip, the food is delicious, and they have a nice outdoor patio for nice days. I would definitely come back. It was cheap, easy, comfortable and extremely pleasant.
