Great location, close to several breakfast options. Loves the carport and parking space reserved right in front of the room. We stayed in a renovated room which was comfortable and bigger than most big city apartments!

Did you say unique?This property, so aptly named Curly Redwood lodge was constructed from one Curly Redwood Tree. The setting is magnificent, it is on a busy road but no ome is out after 9 or 10. If you are looking for luxurious move on, but if you are looking for clean, friendly, modernized, beautiful locale, at a budget price look no further

Comfy nights stay. You can tell they keep the place as nice as possible and the approachable pricing is a reprieve from the astronomically overpriced places...I travel a lot on the road and it is always refreshing to find people who genuinely care about what they do in the hospitality field. 🙏💝 The room was set up nicely...a mix between retro with updates. The bed was cozy and the heater kept the space nice and comfortable. Thanks for a quiet night of recharge time.

A very nice spot in Crescent city and very affordable. Would definitely stay again. The rooms are basic but very clean and price appropriate. A great option for budget travel in the redwoods when it's too cold to camp.

This is always a spectacular place to stay. The rooms feel more like apartments and there is so much to walk to, including the beach!!

Great older place but newish owners need to put back into it a bit.  A few broken knobs and mattress on one of the three beds was past its prime and not comfortable.Overall it was great, vintage but good place to stay.The Curly redwood was nice and the story.Very close to all redwood things to hike and see!

Good place to stay

I stayed at the Curly Redwood Lodge to have a cozy place to stay after exploring the Redwood National and State Parks. I loved the hotel and it’s great architectural characteristics that will never go out of style. However one thing did make me uncomfy is that I found a dildo in my room. Luckily I didn’t notice until my last night but it was weird, how does one forget that?! As funny as it was it was still gross. I also noticed that the maid service comes into your room regardless if you ask or not, put the maid door tag or not. So something to be aware of. I didn’t mind! I enjoyed my stay and will stay again, hopefully in a room with no sex toys this time!

Great Stay Minus the Dildo

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is truly one-of-a-kind and special accommodation, having been built in the mid-century out of one giant redwood tree. It’s like something out of a 1960s spy movie. And you can walk to a lot of the fun things Crescent City has to offer. The staff are really pleasant and helpful as well.

Extremely easy parking and easy to see your vehicle from your room.Dinning is right across the street or just down to the next block.We can see the marina from our room and got to see the fog come in and out.Our room was super clean and checking in was a breeze.Only thing i would like to see changed is the TV placement for the room but that is just asthetics.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the Redwood Forest! It was a GREAT location to do that! The hotel is older... but with lots of charm!  Check-in was easy and the lady that checked us in was the sweetest!  Our room was clean with a coffee pot, microwave, fridge .. and the cutest shower I've ever seen. The shower was small but what it lacked in size it made up for in cuteness and great water pressure! The hotel was full, but we never heard anyone! Very quiet!  We would definitely stay here again!

This property has a beautiful retro charm and feels like it has a lot of history. For the price, it was just what we were expecting. The mattress was a bit soft and typical of a motel mattress, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was perfect for a one night stay as we were traveling the coast.

Great motel for passing through the area, I will definitely stay here again. The redwood walls add a nicer ambiance over the standard motel wallpapers, and the furniture was nicely updated as well. I liked that each room had a dedicated parking spot, especially being so close to the highway, it felt safer to have the car by the room from a break-in perspective. Desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location for getting out to the beach or some hikes (right on the highway), easy walk to some amenities and only a bit further or short drive into town for even more restaurants. Only quibble is I could have used a nightstand on each side of the bed and some small power strips for each side for easier device charging.
