Really, really enjoyed my stay at the Ludlow recently. Location is to die for- right by Meatpacking and Soho, close enough to the West Village/ Nolita. Really what is not to love. Lots of stuff to browse and see close by and great food, lots of varieties. Cute thrift stores. Check out a store called Assembly NYC a few doors down. Smiley Coffee one block away and Mexican and Bario Chino on the pavement- so good! We were running an event during Fashion week and the Ludlow King size room was my base for the stay and I cannot say I regret it at all. Rooms in Manhattan are pricey and low quality. So glad this was the opposite 1. Rooms are huge by NYC standards, beds are comfortable, extra space in the KING room to snuggle up with a drink, watch the sun come up, work on the sofa, host or have a friend drop in for dinner. 2. Lots of space to move around unlike other hotels tiny for twice the price- 5H comes to mind. 3. Super competent, brilliant team at the front desk, nothing is too much trouble. Cozy fire in September is a nice touch. Special thanks to Ray who helped with all my packages parcels and courier drops. 4.Fabulous coffee at Ludlow Coffee next door, Pumpkin spice Dark Roast is a must. Love the cute terrace with the BYOB vibes. 5. Room amenities on point- from the charcoal soap to rose quartz bath soak and the fluffy robes and towels. Well stocked minibar. Nespresso pods and skinny coconut creamer- would be great if we could have some half and half in the fridge maybe? 6. Room service: I did make the "mistake" of ordering the smash burger with the truffle fries one night and falling asleep in front of Netflix. When in NYC, has to be done.
