We recently stayed the Kingsdon inn on our way to Cornwall. We have stayed before. It is absolutely the best place to stay , the welcome from Cinzia and Adam is genuine. The food exceptional and the room clean and comfortable with everything you need . 
Adam is a really talented chef , the produce is top class and is presented beautifully. We plan to come back for a longer stay. Thank you again.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have found this wonderful inn as a very last-minute stopover on our way back from Cornwall. The reception from the brilliant hosts was second-to-none, and all of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcomed and made to feel at home from the second that we arrived. The food is exceptional. We were blown-away by everything that we were served, and is was our absolute highlight of our whole trip away. The rooms were perfect for our family (two rooms opposite each other so perfect for a larger family!), and we will most definitely be finding a reason to travel back this direction so that we can stay there again. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely lovely. From the moment we walked into this gorgeous country Inn we had a friendly welcome and immediately shown to our room. We were offered a table even though we hadn't booked and had the most excellent food, served efficiently and professionally, The room was very comfortable and breakfast did not disappoint, Thank you for a lovely short stay.

Took my parents for a pre-Christmas meal and we enjoyed a most delicious three course meal. The food was top notch and there was plenty of it as well.
Our host, an Italian lady, whose name I can’t spell was very nice and worked very hard her party the chef cooked the food to perfection.
Thoroughly recommend Kingdon inn couldn’t fault it.

Wow the breakfasts are absolutely  amazing  with a great choice the best we have had in hotels before. Also went for a birthday dinner with several people for a friend and that was so good too. Yes the room is small but very clean they have a tea, coffee etc in the room with a flask of milk and nice biscuits .


Booked the Kingsdon Inn for one night to visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Booking online easy with immediate confirmation. Inn closed between 3 and 6 so not available to book in.No problem rang the Kingsdon lovely lady said we will put keys in Room 2 door so when we arrived had access to our room . Room was clean and well presented ,TV,Coffee/Tea. two bottles of water.Good wifi on-suite toilet and shower spotlessly clean.Had an excellent meal in the restaurant that evening and amazing breakfast freshly prepared full english ,cereals yogurt toast jam etc.
Cannot fault our stay and more than happy to recommend the Kingsdon Inn.

Had a superb meal in this delightful pub, full of character set within a pretty village. Though clearly busy and seemingly understaffed the  service was excellent and the food original and far from the usual pub grub, extremely tasty and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend it.

We would highly recommend this inn, we stayed overnight on our way from London to Cornwall. We were made very welcome by the hosts and the food was outstanding, tasty oyster mushrooms and triple cooked chips with my succulent steak in the evening and a brilliant cooked breakfast in the morning accompanied with  mini croissants, jam and marmalade. all homemade.The bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable.

Delightful place to stay

We booked a two night stay with, slight apprehension, due to Covid situation.
The rooms were spotlessly clean , and sanitizer gel was readily available . The rooms are nicely decorated , and very comfortable. The village is very quiet and peaceful , so overall we had a very relaxing stay . 
Excellent cooked breakfast , with home made bread and jams . 
All the staff were very professional and friendly , and nothing is too much trouble for them and the perfect host ( Cinzia )  . 
So overall a highly recommended stay,  in this lovely part of the world .
