Very nice stay all round, would definitely book there again.

Took the ensuite room, toilet is too close to the shower unit so can't actually be used. Water practically ran out, was unable to shower and had to brush teeth with a trickle.Bed was very springy and loud, wasnt particularly comfortable. Otherwise the room was clean although a strange smell.. possibly from kitchen below.

Some of the recent poor reviews posted here are extremely over exaggerated and unfair. (Some people would even find reasons to complain about standards in the Ritz!) Obviously this is a low budget hotel and complainer’s should keep this in mind, before unfairly sounding off.) I have stayed at the Station Hotel during the week for the past 9 months with work but will soon be moving elsewhere on a new project. The rooms (with exception of deluxe room) are not very good to be honest and I only booked when the deluxe room was available.)  The food is excellent with a wide variety available and the staff have been absolutely brilliant with me. Dave has always sorted a few minor issues I have had with the room out straight away. Liam is a great barman and always makes you feel welcome. Special mention to Angela (keeping my coffee & milk topped up in the room, thank you.) Lola is an absolute superstar, her lovely nature and outstanding customer service is amazing. Thank you to all members of staff for taking care of me over the past 9 months



Honest review from long term occupant

Had to pay another £20 when I arrived.. after already paying in full, or I would have lost my booking and money.. Room was dirty, sink in the bathroom was dirty.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was disgusting hairs all in the shower, mold, please see attached photos. But the worst was the noisy water pump in my room ( room 5 ) was going off all night had no sleep. Complained but wasn't interested but did know about the problem. I can't seem to unload the video of the water pump but you can see it on my Facebook Paul Ashley from Crewe 

Absolute disgrace 

I came here for a drink whilst I waited for my train. The staff lack manners (no thank yous etc), the tables are mis-matched, as though they have come from an old canteen. The paint on the walls and ceiling is bodged and the bathroom tiles are cracked/falling off. Minimal effort is made with this place. There was a random cake abandoned on one of the tables! They had the fire exit door held open on the coldest day of the month, when it was blizzardous. I asked the waiter if it could be closed, as the whole bar was unpleasantly cold. I was told no!

Great friendly local pup. Reasonably  priced restaurant meals. Room smelled a bit damp & bathroom could do with a bit of maintenance but we were happy with our stay.

The best thing about the Station Hotel is that is adjacent to Worksop Railway Station there is not much more to write home about this run down and unclean ‘hotel’ which though relatively low cost does not provide any value for money, comfort, reason to stay again or recommend.You check in at the bar however the staff cares nothing more than taking your money and ID,  did not help with luggage or directions to the room, no information about the hotel amenities. They just did not care about me the customer.The double room was very compact, was extremely dirty, especially the stained carpet, and the bed was very uncomfortable given that the mattress was old and worn out. The room benefited from a nice modern TV yet the Wi-Fi worked when it felt like it.Noise from the main road outside was to be expected yet the thin internal walls meant that you could hear everything that was going on in the adjacent rooms which prevented sleep.The bathroom was some distance from the room and was also unclean with limited water pressure from the shower.On departure I met, the apparently long-standing head housekeeper, she was under the disillusion impression that she was running a five-star establishment and could see nothing amiss with the hotel, how pathetic.

There is No on suite the bath room is at the end of the corridor, there was no remote for the TV, although when I called to report it they did bring me one. You need to unplug the TV to plug in the kettle, if you want a cup of tea.
