Just back from a 3 night break in the lakes. What can I say about Oldfield house! Its beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless throughout. We stayed in one of the superior rooms ( room 2) and its a nice large room with a very comfy big bed. The attached bathroom had a fantastic shower and the room is so quiet at night being away from the main road. Its a 2 minute walk in to Windermere and about 15 mins to walk to Bowness. Also, there is a great little fridge in the wardrobe which was a really nice touch. Stephanie & John are very nice people indeed and made us feel very welcome and completely at home. The breakfasts are something else and Johns egg poaching skills should be patanted! Now we have found this gem we will always try and stay here from now on when we are in this area of the lakes.
