Just had a few days at this lovely b&b Both Dave and Freda are so friendly.We had scones and cream with tea and coffee on our arrival.The rooms are so clean and large.In the morning we were greeted with a fantastic breakfast Everything you could wish for .I would highly recommend this b&b.Thanking you both for a great stay

My wife & I had a lovely 3 night stay at Rosewood for our wedding anniversary visit to Whitby. Freda & Dave are an extremely welcoming & friendly couple who made sure we had everything we needed & the room was  large, very clean & comfortable with loads the little extras.
The breakfast choice was vast & plentiful starting with Freda's fruit compote & yogurt, cereals, toast & various cooked options that Dave provided.
The location is also excellent being 2 mins walk to the cliff top & Spa & only 10 mins into the town
Overall we would highly recommend staying here & will certainly stay again.
Massive thank you to Freda & Dave for making our stay both fun & memorable.

Just come back from a great 3 night stay with Freda & Dave. Such a lovely couple that can’t do enough for you. Dave’s breakfast is second to none, & Freda totally spoils you with cakes in your room when you get back. & not forgetting the tea & jam/cream scones when you arrive.. 
this is our second visit. & wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Whitby. 

Returned once more to Dave and Freda has all ways we where very well looked after perfect in every way you can not thank them enough for what they do for you the food is excellent and so are the rooms we have already booked to go back again  

Rosewood is like our home from home. We always stay here and are regular visitors to this lovely bed and breakfast.
Freda and Dave always make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are always clean and warm and the breakfast options are superb.

Clean & tidy B&B run by Freda & Dave. Marvellous breakfasts, helpful chat & information about Whitby & the surrounding area helping to make the most of our stay. Wifi & free parking added to our enjoyment. Very attentive to our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We had a fantastic stay at the Rosewood . Our hosts Freda and Dave were great . The rooms are spotless , spacious with large en-suites.
Lots of little extras made the stay for example Freda leaving you cakes in your room for supper. 
Loads of options for breakfast all of which were perfectly prepared and served.
Both hosts really helpful letting us know the best ways to get  around and where everything is located.
A great stop and a great town to visit . 


Stayed this week and found it a lovely place.  The hosts David and Freda couldn’t be more helpful.  Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of choices and we were given cakes to have for afternoon tea.  The room was spotless with a huge on suite bathroom.  We would highly recommend.

just spent a couple of nights at Rosewood. We took a friend with us who hadnt been before and she thought it was lovely.  Dave and Freda always make you welcome, the breakfast is smashing and Freda makes the best fruit and yoghurt ever. well worth a visit.

Returned to Whitby and stayed at the rosewood b/b everything was excellent  from the first day to the last  everything you need in your room the food is excellent you can have what you want to eat for breakfast and when you return from your day out there is always a little something for you to have with a cuppa Dave and Freda always make you welcome will be returning yet again

Great B&B with wonderful owners

A lovely visit to Rosewood. 

First time in Whitby but not the last.

Freda and Dave are brilliant hosts, so entertaining!  The welcome is great after a long journey with scones, cream and jam with a cuppa.  Every day there is a little surprise cake left in the room in the afternoon.  The breakfasts are also very good, no need to have lunch!  The rooms are very clean and the en suite bathrooms are quite large which is a pleasant change.  The location of the B and B is very convenient for everything too.

The weather was so cold when we arrived in Whitby but the welcome from Dave & Freda was so warm It was our first trip this year to the Rosewood b&b.Such alovely place to stay Both rooms are nice and large ,both have a fridge which is handy if you like to have a glass of white wine.There is tea&coffee  making  facilities in each room.The breakfast is fantastic best ever.If you are looking for a place to stay in Whitby you can't go wrong with the Rosewood

Great place to stay.Best ever

This is my first solo trip to Rosewood with Dave and Freda. The b and b is spotless and they are the friendliest people.  I stayed in room 1, which is the larger of the 2 rooms. There is a double bed, a tv, a chair, wardrobe, drawers and bedside tables with lamps.  There are tea and coffee making facilities with a huge selection of teas, decaffs etc. The bathroom is huge with a full size bath and a separate shower cubicle.  The breakfasts are incredible and negate the necessity for any lunch! Fruit compotes home made by Freda; as much as you want to eat of Freda’s speciality, dried fruits soaked in juices, with natural yoghurt;  cereals; toast; a full cooked breakfast of whatever you choose (preordered the day before!) scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, kippers, etc.  Delicious!  This must be the best b and b in Whitby! 
Location is perfect as its in a quiet street but only a few hundred yards from the seafront and west cliff beach.   Its about 20 minutes walk to the town centre.

Fantastic stay.

Having stayed in many B&Bs and hotels (some in Whitby), I would honestly say this place is up there with the best for us.
Dave and Freda are very friendly and funny once you get past the usual B&B check in rules, (which I expect as we are staying in their home). 
They cant do enough for you and go above what is normally expected to keep the guests happy.
The B&B was spotlessly clean. Some people have moaned about nic nacs but this place is lovely and quirky and reflects the owners.
They are rightly proud of their home and business.
Breakfast is fantastic with anything you could want on offer. Freda is vegetarian but Dave isnt. He cooks a great breakfast and they fully appreciate dietary issues. 
I have rarely felt so well looked after in a B&B.
If you dont like a traditional quirky style and service then it maybe isnt for you but I would recommend The Rosewood B&B to singles and couples wanting a comfortable stay in Whitby.
They only have two double rooms available but they are both large and ensuite.
We will be returning in the future.

Our latest trip was once again lovely. Dave and Freda always make you welcome and would go out of their way if needed to suit your needs.Dave,s breakfast is outstanding and Freda,s usual compilation of cereals and famous compots are lovely.
Cleanliness is a given here, not a speck of dust anywhere, we have been coming here for the past 17 years so that must say something!
If you are looking for a stay in Whitby  look no further this is the place, you will not be disappointed.
