Nice b and b 10 minutes from town and beach. Car parked at property a must. Lovely cooked breakfast. Friendly chatty owners. Everything in room required for short break. Clean and tidy. Definitely book again. For the weather was hot and sunny a bonus 

Lovely place breakfast was spot on even when the son wanted pancakes and sausage lol owners are very friendly and welcoming kids loved the castle bunk beds both kids keep asking to go back will be returning next year that’s for sure

What a lovely stay we had at the Galway Guesthouse. Between Lyn's warm and welcoming personality, and Dave's cheeky sense of humour, they make the perfect hosts. Clean and comfortable rooms and a hearty breakfast (which they had sources vegetarian ingredients for us on request). Thank you for a lovely stay!

Such a warm welcome from the owners Dave & Lynn! Had room 3 so the children were made up with the castle bunk beds!! Oh & the wet room en suite was a big laugh too for them!! The room was immaculately clean. Lovely big family room, suited us brilliantly. Ten/fifteen mins walk to the shore, lovely location. Free parking too which was a bonus. Breakfast was superb and made to order, so very accommodating and was steaming hot!! Constant top ups which went down a treat. They were both lovely & chatty, made us feel really welcome, perfect family atmosphere. Will definitely be stopping here again on our next visit! And a big thank you for letting us hide an #islastone in your garden :) 

Myself,wife and our two children loved staying here. Very warm welcome we arrived a little early and were shown to our room without hesitation. Dave one of owners made everyone feel comfortable room was light and airy and spotless clean , children's beds are really cool our kids loved them. Breakfast was lovely cooked to perfection with plenty of tea coffee toast and jams. Amazing value for money. Will be going back soon

David and Lyn have been very very helpful,it is nice that they have the personal touch,and We observed their helpfulness and friendliness to all the other guests.

A lovely guesthouse within 5 minutes walk of the village. Very clean spacious family room with lovely gardens. Freshly cooked yummy breakfast and the owners who are a very friendly couple are extremely hospitable. My children particularly enjoyed the pancakes with strawberries.

Really Really Helpful Great Location for Everything

A family of 4; arrived earlier than check in and my 4 year old needed the toilet, and the owner kindly let him in to use it. Was told to park in any side road (which took about an hour to find somewhere to park) until the room was ready, and then it was free parking round the back.

It was approximately 10 mins walk away from the shops, restaurants, and the beach down hill, which was a bonus. And there's a friendly family pub 2 mins walk away on the same road in the opposite direction with darts, pool etc.

The guest house itself; we had very mixed reviews.

Breakfast was brilliant, and I could not fault it. Maybe an option of black pudding, a choice of type of cooked egg, and an offer of a refill of orange juice, if any. 

The guest house itself is very old fashioned and dated. Bit creaky, old and could do with an uplift.

The owners; pleasant enough but didn't feel any great vibes/connection, which is a big bonus when we stay in places.

The room; we had room 1 and the kids had castle bunk beds, which they were excited/happy about. 

However for the adults; the room is tiny and feels quite claustrophobic (I.e not enough storage to put your bits in the bathroom&ended up having to put things on the floor when you want them out on display so a shelf would have been helpful. The room, no drawers to put your clothes in, just open shelves,and the walk in shower/toilet was not ideal at all.

The bathroom door didn't shut properly and there is no lock.

I could not find a hair dryer (so bring your own).

The TV was so small so we didn't bother turning it on.

Personally nescafe is a favourite of ours so we preferred our coffee in our room compared to the breakfast coffee.

I would have liked more of an idea on what was on to do/explore from the owners. I asked and was told there was fireworks the previous day (and was only on on a Monday) so that was not really helpful.

Overall 3/5. Chose this guest house based on reviews, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations - especially at the price we paid! (Nearly £400 for 3 nights)

I am torn between writing this review as the couple who run it are lovely people and very welcoming. But the room that my partner and two children stayed in was very basic. It had the castle bunkbed which was a nightmare as I have a 5year old and a two year old. Also the toilet was the size of a small cupboard evrytime I went toilet my knees were touching the door and was very uncomfortable. The shower was verhy limited in space as soon as you open the door you walk straight into the shower hardly any room to place clothing and a towel. I would of looked for another place to stay 
but it is very inconvenient when you have small children to look for another place to The bunked without a proper ladder is more of a safety hazard and makes you constantly on edge if you have small children. The tv size was a joke as it was probably the smallest tv i ever seen, placed on a wall I could not see the picture clearly at all which was very frustrating.

Great Location but basic budget guest house

I needed to stay in Weymouth due to a family emergency, but Weymouth was full.. apart from a room at this place.. Well I wish I hadn´t bothered and slept on the beach. The place was dirty, the owners were rude.. very disappointed and I can see why this was the last place available in Weymouth..  We didn't have breakfast as after seeing the state of the bathroom, we decided not to risk it
