This hotel was immensely  warm and welcoming  the staff attentive and extremely  helpful .
We had  a light bite lunch in the perfect garden setting all of which was delicious  and good value for money .
Several members of the group had muddy boots    but no one made a fuss  about this .
When it was time for us to slowly and reluctantly  leave we were told that we could leave our 2 cars in the car park for as long as we liked .we would like to return and stay here as our experience  was only lunch and drinks .

Spending few hours sight seeing needed some lunch,located next to car park ideal ! Popped in, friendly staff happy to help great coffee while waiting for lunch, steak and kidney pie chips and peas, pie was delicious

We were a party of 9 which included 2 young children. 7 of these were walking over the hills to reach this destination

Lunch time

Stayed here for a night while attending a wedding in APRIL 2015. The room had a double bed & En-Suite & overlooked the busy main road. Due to the windows having old fashioned wooden frames you could hear all the passing traffic until the early hours. There is a carpark at the rear of the hotel but it is small. The full cooked Breakfast was ok but the one lady serving could of done with some help.
All staff were friendly apart from one who was quite rude because I had pressed a bell in the reception as I needed assistance, after a minute or two when no-one answered or came I pressed it again only to be shouted at abruptly to "WAIT A MINUTE". She soon changed her tone when I asked her who she thought she was speaking too & asked if that was the correct way to speak to customers. I didn't get her name but she was a coloured female in her very late 40's to mid 50's. We won't be booking again

Out dated

Well what a visit never again don't do this place had dealings with a woman called Trish what a arrogant bad mannered supposedly manager I would sack her on the spot . Has she got any experience in management I would be surprised if she has  never will I bring any of my family or friends or work colleagues here SACK HER

ARROGANCE

We have converted it to offices, ground floor vacant and has been for over a year. If the hotel update is not maintained. Why have it listed. I was outside when a couple asked if rooms were available, just been sent from the council information centre, located next door
