A fab place to stay for two nights as a family to enable us to explore Longleat Safari and Wooky Caves nearby. Family room comfy and spacious. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast continental style and a panini made and delivered to you later in the Eve. I stored this in the fridge and we used them as sandwiches for the next day! Food is delicious and I wished we had eaten dinner at the hotel for two nights but I didn’t know how long we would be at Longleat! Staff extremely helpful and nice. I would stay here again if we are back in the area. 

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy & the bed was soooo comfy! Staff were extremely helpful. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Hygiene levels are outstanding. Huge room & bathroom was a great size.

We came for a Christmas meal with friends on Saturday 3rd December and had the most amazing food! Probably the best Christmas meal I've ever had! It was totally outstanding from the presentation to the superb taste! The staff were excellent and friendly! Definitely one of my favourite places to go. Very cosy and lovely atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough! Ps ! The red cabbage is something else ! Wow! 

What a find! Lovely friendly staff, cosy and immaculately clean and stylish room. Having the Italian restaurant on site is a massive bonus and the food was great. I would highly recommend this place and will be making this our place to stay whenever we visit this part of the country again for a short break as the kids (5 and 7) loved it as well!

Stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting Longleat, lovely quiet clean hotel, comfortable beds, breakfast is taken in your room, you order what you want, a good selection of cereals, butter,jam, Marmalade, milk, water in a fridge - which was quiet, croissants and a lovely roll of your choice given to you the night before. We actually saved the roll for our lunch. Make sure you visit the on site restaurant, excellent food and staff, really busy for a Tuesday and Wednesday night obviously we'll used by the locals. If we ever visited Longleat again would definately stay here again - it's only about 10 minutes away.

Fabulous stay at The Angel. We stopped for a couple of nights to visit Longleat, which is 10 mins drive away. Our room was spotless and comfy. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, and breakfast was lovely, (cereal, croissant and juice), and a ciabatta sandwich, which was very handy to take to Longleat with us! All staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful.  Would definitely stay again! 

Spotlessly clean, well furnished rooms with fridge, tea and coffee. Comfortable bed and large en-suite shower room. Our Continental breakfast taken in the room and was quite adequate.
Food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Recommended.

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a friend’s wedding. Wh ate at the restaurant on our first night and the food and service was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and clean. Coming from London it was lovely experience to quite stillness of the village and birds singing. Good Wi-Fi and phone signal. Would defiantly come back again.

We stayed for one night. Room and bathroom were both comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was continental and included a cibatta roll each of your choice which we took with us for lunch. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent.

Stayed for one night while visiting relatives, first time visit for us. The weather was hot and sunny, our room was small but clean with a decent en-suite including a large shower. There was a large fan in room to help with the heat which it did when oscillating. Continental breakfast mainly in the fridge just had to order our sandwich (a bit weird) thought the sandwiches could have been plainer seeing as they were for breakfast. Had evening meal in the restaurant outside (covered) very pleasant surroundings, it was a Monday but the place was packed. The staff were all lovely especially our waitress, I unfortunately knocked over a full glass of red wine but she wasn’t bothered by it at all. Our 3 courses were lovely couldn’t fault any of it. If we are ever in the area again will definitely book to eat and stay.

Great stay at the hotel. Really comfy beds for myself and my wife and the kids, we had the family room. Only slight negative was how hot it was but thats minor, really fair price too at 90.00 for the night including continental breakfast. Sandwiches were a great touch as we took them for lunch to longleat saving us 50.00

Lovely stay

Book this with Friends to see the Lights at Longleat.  Ideal location. Room was clean and very warm so on arrival we opened a window and turned the radiator down. Shower room and toilet again clean and plenty of hot water. The in room continental breakfast, (cereal , croissant and sandwich (you select your filling by 8pm the previous day) was perfectly adequate. We’d a reservation for the on site Italian restaurant and ate there on the Saturday evening. Due to it being busy the car park was overfull with non residents so finding a space almost impossible when we got back from Longleat, we ended up parking in spaces marked private (checking first it would be ok). Being busy the restaurant was loud so wouldn’t have been ideal for a romantic dinner for 2. Food was ok, decent size portions, my pork loin was cooked well, the fillet steak of a companion was more medium/well than the medium /rare he’d asked for but it was a good quality steak.  We also ordered garlic bread (pizza base) and this was the only disappointment as it was dry , slightly overcooked on top and very little garlic taste at all. We we commented they did take that off the bill (without any argument). If I have any negative comments about the room, it would be the double bed(two beds joined) had such deep headboards I lost so much bed my feet fell off the end and the window frames in the room and shower room really need to be replaced soon, rotten wood wasn’t a good look). But all in all good value for money and would stay again if visiting the area.

Fabulous place to stay!

Two nights at this lovely inn

4th time we have eaten here and still as good as ever. Staff really friendly and nice location, always feel relaxed.  A bit windy this weekend in the conservatory but still fine, same everywhere. I had a really nice stuffed veal dish and my wife had the stuffed chicken, both very tasty and great portions, but still enough room for a pud.
