We had a lovely 4 night stay here , Linda met us on arrival with tea and cake , our room was very comfy with beautiful views , The location is quiet and peaceful , Breakfast was really good and Linda went out of her way to make vegetarian dinners which were very tasty , This was an ideal base for exploring Devon and Cornwall , Would certainly stay again

Had a good sized room and bathroom overlooking the garden and village. We were in a position to vist several places of interest and walk along the Tiverton canal stopping for a light lunch on the canal barge. We had a very tasty evening meal and lyn works very hard to make sure you feel very welcome in her accommodation. ..would definitely consider a return visit.

A really nice place to be. Linda greeted us warmly and sorted some tea and cake on arrival. The room was lovely with tea/ coffee available. Breakfast was really nice and we had an evening meal included for one night which was great. Linda made us very welcome and would differently recommend. There is a local pub a little walk away which was great and the landlady was very welcoming. They do have a small snack menu. 

We chose to stay here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend, mainly because we wanted to visit RHS Rosemoor and Knightshayes Court. Linda was very welcoming, she served us tea in the garden when we arrived and cooked us a lovely roast dinner on our first evening. 
The room was very clean and comfortable, with all the usual amenities that you would expect in a good standard hotel but not necessarily in a B&B, fresh milk and fridge for our drinks was a nice touch! Lots of local information is on hand too.
Breakfast was very enjoyable and it all felt very homely. Linda is a lovely experienced host, who enjoyed chatting to her guests and their dog is equally lovely, who clearly enjoyed the company of the guests! 

There is so much to do and see in this part of Devon and we would definitely stay here again. 

Just spent the Bank holiday at Qouit at cross and had fantastic stay, Lynda was very welcoming and the farm house was luvly, the house was very clean, rooms big and spacious and all that was needed for the Weekend, plenty of info in the place to keep you going for a whole year
Breakfast was very good and roast chicken  dinner on our 1st night was luvly, yes Stoodleigh is a little remote but perfect to forget about the daliy grind of town life and chill, perfect for cyclist, if you don't mind hills that Is, never seen so many hills that are 16% and above

Well, ok. Middle of nowhere really, but still a great central base for exploring all that Devon has to offer. Transport definitely required as there’s nowhere to stroll too really, though plenty of long walks if that's your thing.
Even the local pubs close in high season except on the weekends!  

This is a basic B&B that’s a bit dated but it does offer a peaceful location, a charming secluded garden and is both child and dog-friendly. Bedrooms are spacious but the en suite shower rooms are very cramped although there’s a lot of effort made to provide necessities and more for your comfort, along with some charming accessories and decor touches.

Breakfasts are a simple affair and likewise the dinner, which we only had on one of our night’s stay. Guest tables are set up for sharing which wouldn't suit some, so please note. 

Unremarkable in many ways but somehow, I feel drawn back ... 
Could it be the kindly, gentle and welcoming service? 
Probably.

Middle of everywhere

My daughter paid for us to stay overnight with an evening meal through Buyagift.com. The location is very nice and its a lovely old building. But we were disappointed with the evening meal we had. Not the best cottage pie I've ever had, the potatoes had disappeared or melted into the gravy. It was not the best of quality which was a bit upsetting especially as the breakfast we had the next morning was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom is in need of updating. Also the flannels, sponges and towels really should be binned and new towels bought. Do away with flannels and sponges! Towels were clean but hard and flat, no fluffy towels here!
The owner was a very nice lady but I feel this place is in need of updating and perhaps do away with the evening meals, they don't live up to the quality of the cooked breakfast in the morning.
