A great place to visit and stay with accommodation in several buildings and places to camp. Several onsite activities to choose from.
This time we stayed in The Lodge, in the downstairs accommodation. It has everything you need for your stay. We were made to feel really welcome.
Everyone is really kind and  friendly.

Foxlease Park, owned and run by Foxie’s Future now, is the perfect place for Pack Holidays with Brownies, camping with Guides and Rangers, Leader’s downtime in keeping with the reason it was bequeathed originally bequeathed to Guiding, is now providing the same to Guiding. Youth and Community groups. They are gradually bringing Foxlease back to life, some activities you will need to bring your own trained instructors until they can turn their minds to this, at the moment they have brought the Lodge and Barn back to life, the Coach house they have started on, the main house they are assessing and working on as they can. It is run by volunteer Trustees and volunteers and we went down for the first fundraiser on site, a very enjoyable quiz night!

A large group of us stayed across two rooms at Foxlease for a couple of nights and we had the most wonderful weekend. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was homely and informal. As someone who struggles with travel anxiety, this put me right as ease as I felt very settled. 
Our meals were lovely and those of us with dietary requirements were catered to perfectly. 
The rooms were comfortable and cosy and gave us a stunning view out across the back lawn of the property. The bathrooms we had were decently sized and very clean. 
As a group of young people staying away together in a large group, we found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and cannot wait to go back. 

I am really fussy about where i stay and although the main building is looking very tired and in need of even more cash, it was a joy, spotlessly clean, staff were so friendly and helpful.  The breakfast was perfect, i rarely enjoy a full English but this was exceptional.  The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, pod style bathroom but awesome shower.

Good food, chef catered beautifully with my dietary issues - no gluten or dairy. Facilities are basic but clean. Shower lovely - hot. Yes building does need some doing up but people forget this is an old building which has style. Also primary purpose of place is an activity centre. Staff were great,  anything I requested they sorted if they could.

We were a group of 21 staying in Princess Margaret Lodge. We had to pay extra per head as we decided to book the full house. This was a great decision. The lodge was a great base as it was about 500m from the main house. The girls had voted in advance to do Raft-building, High Ropes and Tunnelling. The instructors Michael for Raft-Building and Hight Ropes and Alex for Tunnelling were super. The girls 'fell' for Michael and he handled it so appropriately. He was great at giving them instruction when needed, encouragement and then knowing when to say to them to get on with it. We also used the swimming pool on-site and it was a big hit. We also spent a morning in Lyndhurst which is just a short walk. We self-catered and used Tesco for our groceries and they were delivered at the time of our arrival. We used The New Forest Butcher (based in Lyndhurst) for all our meat and they couldn't have been more helpful. There was a staff member who came from Girl Guiding HQ who opened the shop for our girls and was so helpful with a number of issues. On our last night, we had a super campfire at the campfire circle. Am already thinking about going back...in a few years time.

I’ve just returned from an excellent Fun Victorian Christmas Themed weekend at Foxlease....Not knowing what to expect I was definitely not disappointed.....A fun weekend with excellent home cooked delicious food...I’m gluten free and the chefs were amazing how they accommodated me......Basic but clean and comfortable rooms, en-suite.....All and all a fun weekend in beautiful countryside...

Girl Guide group visit - staying in Princess Margaret Lodge

Victorian Christmas Weekend.

I've been here many times and the grounds are lovely and the accommodation is well priced for groups, but I think that Princess Margaret Lodge probably is due for a refurbishment now really. The bathrooms are starting to look quite damp, the paintwork is tired in places, the mattresses are getting a little lumpy and some of the kitchen appliances can be quirky. Also, if the group before you didn't clean well, you can find the rooms are in quite a state/smelly. But staff are very nice and it's a good way to bring a group to the New Forest without breaking the bank. I am undecided as to whether I think adding wifi to PML would be good or bad - at the moment you have to go back to the main lodge, which means you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings more easily, but is a bit surprising in this day and age too!

Most of the activities were decent and lots of the staff were nice, the food however was indescribably awful and made me sick to the point that I just didn’t eat food for the rest of my time there. I would not recommend coming here because you could go somewhere for far cheaper for better pricing.
