Stanton Manor Hotel

I recently stayed at Stanton Manor Hotel while visiting the NSBRC in Swindon, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place—especially as it was Valentine’s Day and I had the chance to bring my wife along on my business trip. The hotel is full of character, and even though it was a dull and cold day, the grounds still looked lovely. Our room was very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the gardens, making for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The bar, though cosy in size, had a great atmosphere and served an excellent pint of bitter. My wife opted for a Valentine’s cocktail, which she really enjoyed. The restaurant had a special Valentine’s menu, and the food was outstanding. We both started with scallops, which were cooked to perfection. For our mains, I had the pig’s cheeks, while my wife had the monkfish tails—both dishes were first-class. Despite thinking we wouldn’t manage breakfast the next morning, we did! I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, and my wife had smashed avocado with poached eggs. The quality of the food remained exceptional. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. I’d certainly stay again and highly recommend Stanton Manor Hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in the Swindon area.
