Right where to begin...? What a lovely couple John and Linda are. Nothing and I mean Nothing is too much trouble. The room was immaculate, the attention to detail was incredible. The bed was super comfy, The food, OMG the breakfast was to die for! I wish our stay was my Groundhog day!  

Thurlestone House is the best guest house we have stayed in. John and Linda are excellent hosts, they go the extra mile to ensure your holiday is perfect. The House is spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfasts are    brilliant with plenty of choice and dietary requirements are met. The location is superb with lovely views. The bus service is great and stops just outside of the house. I would definately recommend staying here and we will be returning very soon.

Absolutely outstanding in every way! John and Linda are a naturally welcoming and charming couple who provide a top level service for all of their guests. Their attention to detail in all aspects of the stay was apparent from the moment we got there with a bowl of sweats on entry for guests to help themselves, a diffuser offering a lovely relaxing aroma as soon as you open the front door, and a chocolate on the pillow when we got to our room.

Breakfast was cooked perfectly (and included good quality sausage and bacon). The individual fruit salad was clearly prepped every morning before guests came downstairs, great variety of toast (and spreads), cereal, yoghurts, teas and coffees.

Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely modern ensuite bathroom. The whole house was spotless throughout. There were a couple of very friendly local pubs within walking distance serving lovely food, and the gorgeous beach was only 5 minutes walk away.

What a wonderfully relaxing holiday we had. Thank you John and Linda. We can't wait to come back!

We booked this as a last minute weekend, what a lovely place. John & Linda couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and filling. We will definitely be going back for another stay. Thank you both.

Location - great; close to Carbis Bay beach and train station, bus stop 2 minutes walk away

Hosts - fantastic every time, friendly and helpful, they make it all hang together 

Room - well presented, coffee & tea making facilities and supplies etc

Breakfast - lovely, cooked fresh with a nice range of options

Overall, just lovely. This is what holidays are about.

Lovely welcoming couple and very accommodating considering we booked and arrived last minute.Very informative about the location, loved the guest information in the room. 👍Room was fantastic. Very clean and had everything we needed. Windows were top notch considering its location is on a mian road and busy with traffic. Lovely sea view over the rooftops and trees. Made sure we were able to park as no spaces left to the front of the b&b just a short distance away. Breakfast choice was amazing. Hats off to the chef, breakfast was beautiful each morning. Plus top service. We asked for clean towels. Room was cleaned and fresh towels given. Very impressed. Location has all you could ask for. Supermarket, beach, pubs, restaurants and pharmacy all a short distance walk away. St. Ives is a short distance away by car, bus or taxi. Bus is the cheapest option and very accessible with a  bus stop couple of yards from the b&b. Taxi from St. Ives cost us under £10. 👍Would 100% recommend.

We stayed for a week John and Linda were fantastic hosts nothing too much trouble and were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the room was spacious and very clean. Had a great stay and will definitely be back.  Thank you John and Linda.

Stayed as couple October half term for 2 nights. John and Linda were excellent - very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great location close to many main tourist spots, exceptional value for money in our opinion. Very clean comfortable rooms with a view of sea in near distance. Breakfast was pre-ordered and very efficient. Breakfast was brilliant - very good amount of choice. Although didn't sample cooked breakfast but looked fantastic. Really great value for money, very impressed! Would highly recommend as a base to explore St Ives and the surrounding area as is a bit further out in Carbis Bay. Approx 30mins walk down to St Ives, and plenty of taxis available to come back (even if a tad expensive) or you could walk uphill if you can! Thankyou so much for a great stay, we would definitely be back if we returned!
