The Blue Boar

We had a lovely stay at the Blue boar for a couple of nights away for my birthday. Great location good facilities staff are so friendly and very welcoming. Lovely meals had. Handy to get bus into town which stops across the road from the pub and they run very frequently. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Every time I go here the staff are always welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food area and bar are clean and decorated nicely. The food is great, I had a Sunday roast today and it was really tasty and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend

Myself and family all enjoyed an absolutely fabulous dining experience at the Blue Boar.  It was a birthday celebration which was made extra special as the food was first class and the service was excellent. The started were delicious and the main courses were just spot on.

The Blue Boar has had another revamp. It looks stunning. The food is awesome, although vegetarian options are limited. Waitresses were very efficient, friendly and made the experience very warm. The standard of food is the best it has ever been. 

This was the second time this year we’ve stayed at the Blue Boar.
We last stayed in the summer ‘21.
We had a family party and again the Blue Boar was the perfect distance from where my family are situated.
The room was spotless, this was the main reason we re-booked because we were so impressed with the cleanliness last time.
Plenty of room for our family of four (2 adults, 2 young children).
One day we will try the food! Just hasn’t happened yet so can’t comment I’m afraid.
Car parking is another bonus with this stay, ample parking.
We didn’t hear the music last time and I was a little worried how late it would go on for but come 9pm it went off and it was lovely and peaceful.
We look forward to booking again in 2022.

Beautiful clean rooms with all those extras in rooms. Lovely shower. Friendly staff. Enjoyed a gorgeous breakfast in morning. Would totally recommend. Gluten free breakfast was no issue without warning!

Nice lunch with good service.

Happy to recommend for a family or couples meal.

Lots of parking and easy to find, on the main road into Norwich.

Very presently surprised.
Myself, husband and 2 young children  stayed here at the end of July.
The room was very spacious, immaculately clean, with very comfy beds.
The staff were all lovely too.
What more could you ask for?
We’ve already re-booked for December for when we visit family again. 
Bus stop near by to go in to town, Tesco Express minutes away.
Good location.
Free car parking also.

Been staying with friends in Norwich and was recommended lunch at Keith's Kitchen in The Blue Boar. We all had Sunday roast but different meats. I tried the lamb and the pork and the servings were very generous indeed. I can honestly say that the meat was the best I have ever eaten I for a Sunday roast. It melted in the mouth and we would all recommend it to anyone. Keith and his team have set the standard for Sunday roasts in the East of England! If you want to waste your money then go somewhere else.

We booked dinner here and was pleasantly surprised at the varied menu . Speciality menu as well . Food was lovely as well as staff . Very attentive. Lovely and clean . Very spacious and lots of room to eat outside .

We've stayed here many times as we have family close by. The pub and rooms have had a face lift since our last stay and have had new windows installed. We always try to book room 3 as it's the largest room with 2 double beds, 2 small sofas, and a coffee table. The staff were friendly and helpful and even though the rooms are over a pub you hear very little noise so slept well. The beds were also comfortable. 

The kitchens are currently closed so there was no breakfast included. We went to a nearby garden centre which did a good full English. The pub has a fabulous garden with play equipment if you have children to entertain. We would definately stay again the next time we visit from Wales.

Smart and modern pub with good beer and ale selection plus superb scrumptious food menu. Lots of room inside and out. Pleasant and friendly staff. Often walked here for beers and food from our hotel. Did not use for overnight stay. Decent size car park. Good vibe. Music not played too loudly and TVs for sports.

Keith's Kitchen

Staff were very busy on arrival and, although we had been seen at the entrance, no-one acknowledged us for a little while.  When we were shown to our room it was spacious, clean and tidy.  

We ate in the restaurant two of the evenings of our stay and food was excellent - certainly not pub grub. Service was good especially from Reece - cheers Reece.  

One big negative was our shower - there was no way to adjust the temperature which was stuck on very hot whichever way the temperature knob was turned.

One other thing to note is that there is no-one on site overnight - which although did not worry us unduly I am not sure it would suit everyone.

We called in for a very late lunch and were pleasantly surprised that they were more than happy to accommodate us despite the fact that they were at the "cleaning down" stage. Good food and good service
