My wife and I wanted a one night break away from London but did not want to travel too far out so Broadstairs was perfect. The Merriland is perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but also a short walk away (5 mins) from the beach (Viking Bay). The room was excellent and all the amenities were perfect for us. Annette is an amazing host whose main focus is providing an excellent guest experience. She was very flexible with us when we wanted to check out slightly later than expected. We could also leave our car parked at the property (parking is free and safe on the alllcated drive) after we checked out. The room and en-suite were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Every aspect was well thought of with the little touches (water, milk provided in the fridge and a small welcome snack basket). I would definitely return to this establishment and also highly recommend to anyone wanting a guest-house experience.
