Being a business woman and traveling quite frequently to Manchester,  I found that my stay in the Hawthorn Hotel was very pleasing. The owner Seif  is very welcoming, warm and kind, the staff are polite and helpful.
The room I was staying in was clean, comfortable and I was easily able to feel at home, the bathroom was tidy and presentable. The room also had a TV, Kettle for making hot drinks and fresh towels placed neatly and folded on the bed. 
The cooked breakfast was enjoyable and I am pleased I chose the Hawthorn.
I recommend and will be returning on my next visit to Manchester.

I stayed at hotel for while and the owner Seif as become a good friend couldn’t ask for a nicer kinder man makes you feel like your at home and all he’s staff are nice and friendly highly recommend. Rooms are nice and clean and the hotel is very clean. Also cooked breakfast is amazing 😄😄😄

The Hawthorn Hotel offers a comfortable relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester City Centre. After a days touring the historical sights of Manchester, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution in the mid-18th century and the city which gave birth to the Trades Union Coingress (TUC) 1868 the Hawthorn offers a quiet evening to recallect the days studies. All rooms are ensuite and the hotel offers a hearty full English breakfast.

The Hawthorn is on a bus route and is easily within walking distance for the Metro tram system which will take the tourist/ visitor to the heart of |Manchester. As well as history Manchester offers one of the finest shopping centres in Europe on the banks of the Ship Canal in Trafford. For the sporting fans the city offers two of the finest stadia, Old Traffoprd, home of Manchester United FC and the Etihad residence of Manchester City FC. For thiose interested Broadhurst Park, Moston is the home of Football Club United of Manchester and again the student of history may be interested how this club came into being. Once again these venues are easily accessable from the Hawthorn.

Whatever your reasons for visiting Greater Manchester, business or pleasure, the Hawthorn Hotel offers the perfect retreat after a long day. I strongly recomend you pay the quiet suburb of Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, and the Hawthorn Hotel a visit.

A historical tour of Manchester

Me and my family

I'm writing this review on behalf of people who stayed here for two nights.
Four people were put in one room.
The room was damp and mouldy, dirt in the shower, chewing gum stuck to the bunk beds, hairs on the bed, an electrical lead going to a radiator was taped up, no tea/ coffee supplies, no hot water for 10 mins.
This place is not a hotel at all it's now a HMO and used to house homelessness people and those with addictions. There are drug addicts making noise in the early hours. The owner doesn't care even when things are pointed out to him.
He was screaming at his staff and having a domestic with his young girlfriend who was smashing his stuff up and telling each other to F off.
The place is a dump.
He fails to tell customers that hes now housing drug addicts, alcoholics and homeless people.
There were several slugs crawling over the clothes leaving a horrible sticky residue which then couldn't be worn for a funeral.
No free breakfast as advertised on here.
The owner was notified of these issues and his answer was to spray the floor with antibacterial spray. One of the staying customera in this room was sick and had diarrhoea.
His own private quarters have been well furnished yet he puts people in dirty unsafe rooms. There are pictures to evidence the stay here.
He also refused to take a card payment and insisted upon cash.
Reports are going to be made to the Council, Environmental Health, Fire Brigade and HMRC. He has been contacted regarding these issues and is deliberately ignoring the emails, text messages and whatsapp messages. Next action is the small claims court. 
This place needs closing down.
It's not fit for purpose.

Dirty room with all kinds of insects all over it. Mould and damp. No supplies.

Truly the worst guesthouse I have ever stayed in. I usually stay in a hotel, but I was at a meeting that overran and I didn't finish until late, so I booked the "last available room" in this guesthouse, which was down the road from where I was. I do not believe for one minute the guesthouse was fully booked. I fell for that line though. 

It was late evening when I arrived and I was greeted by the most odious man. He couldn't even summon a pleasantry. I later realised he is the owner. 

I reached my room which I can only call a cubbyhole. I was given a single bed. I am a rugby player that's not vertically or horizontally challenged. 

I went to take a shower thinking I would at least have a hot shower. Unfortunately not, as the water was cold...ice cold. 

There was no phone in the room to call down, so I had to get dressed and go down to speak to the manager/owner. He said; "What do you expect turning up at this time?" It was 10:12pm. He didn't care. I said I'd like the use of a hot shower. He told me to wait until morning. I don't know how this man is still in business with such a terrible attitude. 

I didn't see many guests in the morning, but those I did see didn't seem to be in rush to go anywhere. I was surprised to see babies, so wondered why any family would choose to stay there. 

Well here is my review and I warn you, this place is as hospitable as the miserable sod who owns it. 

Avoid like the plague!

This lot just cancelled our double room  reservation for Sep 12th 2021 because they are decorating. Despite this they are still selling double rooms for that date. Obviously don't know what they are doing and don't care about their clients. DON'T USE THEM. choose someone who cares less about their clients.

Rubbish service

You are treated like a baby it’s back in time you can’t speak to everyone people are having troubles dealing with life situations right now. People have been sleeping rough and had lives turnt upside down, and this place makes it worse. I know it’s a pandemic but these people are basically our house mates, we eat from the same kitchen , sit in the same dining room and use the same facilities. Workers are entering the hotel without mask on and not social distancing but we should? Doesn’t really make sense. As for cooking we get our breakfast and then have to make do we share a fridge, we are homeless people and suffering off this one meal and then having to scrape for the rest of the day. In the kitchen your only aloud to use the grill and microwave, some homeless people want a proper cooked meal and have been faced with these issues as people have dietary requirements and they can’t be met meaning people go to be starving until breakfast and then it starts again. As for the area it’s nice.
