Rowton Castle Hotel

The staff were lovely with nothing too much trouble.  The food was superb in an amazing dining room with proper tablecloths and napkins !This is a wonderful 800 year old castle with no lift so, if you have walking difficulties, ask for a room on the first floor.The public rooms are magnificent but the bedrooms, while perfectly comfortable, would benefit from being brought up to date.Anyway, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we shall be sure to return.

Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel.   Only stayed for one night but we will defintely be back next time we are in England!  The dinner in the restaurant was amazing and the staff went over and beyond the service letting us enjoy the lounge/bar for the evening.  In the morning enjoyed a great breakfast

Stayed with my son, large comfortable room, nice view, staff went above and beyond, even serving breakfast early so we could get my son to school on time.

What a fantastic experience, all staff were friendly, particularly at reception and at the restaurant. The food was at next level, best I’ve had since I can remember, great job Chefs. The room was spacious, comfortable and charming. Wished we stayed longer.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get taken to Rowton Castle for a night.From the moment we arrived we were blown away with the hospitality, the surrounding & whole atmosphere.
 Our room was a four poster room large , with a lovely en-suite corner whirl pool Bath & overhead shower .
The view from our window was of the gardens which are kept in pristine condition.
  The restaurant had a lovely menu with lovely presentation , the wine was superb all in all a fantastic night.
The following morning we headed to breakfast feeling full but that didn’t stop me eating a full English &my hubby smoke salmon it was delicious.All the staff bar, waiting, reception were so friendly, helpful & professional.
 This is a must go to place for that occasion .
We have travelled all around the world staying at high class hotels and would rank  Rowton Castle among the top .

August the 18th was the wedding of my son Reece and now my daughter in law Amber, 
It was the most amazing day ever the weather was beautiful the setting was breathtaking and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. 
We arrived just before lunchtime on Sunday the wedding was due to take place at 2 o’clock that afternoon we checked in smoothly and took our bags up to our beautiful rooms very spacious and very clean, beautiful four poster bed and very comfortable mattress. 
We got ready and went down to the reception  we were greeted by the master of ceremonies and he fitted our button holes and showed us to our seats, we all sat down till the first bridesmaid came walking down then waited to see Amber appear in her beautiful dress she looked amazing and so did her bridesmaids, the happy couple were married and we got on with enjoying our day Prosecco and fabulous food tear jerking and funny speeches took us through to the disco starting were everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves till the small hours of the morning. 
Next morning we were up after a good nights sleep and down for an excellent breakfast nothing was too much for the staff and they didn’t rush us off and helped us with all our wedding stuff and bringing our cars up to reception to load up and get on our way home.
We had a fabulous day and would recommend Rowton castle to anyone thinking of getting married it is a beautiful place with very friendly staff and will make you a very special day to remember well done to you all thanking you Rick and Sonia Kitchen

A truly alround lovely experience

Had the most amazing day I can remember

A beautiful setting with an outstanding building. The castle was absolutely stunning and the staff made our stay even better. We received a free upgrade on arrival which was a real bonus!! We had dinner which was lovely and the breakfast was hearty and amazing value with a huge selection. Our stay overall was 10/10 would highly recommend this amazing location hotel.

Absolutely stunning, amazing service!!

The wedding of our niece and her fiancé this first weekend of June 2024, and booked back in early 2020. It's been a traumatic world in that time but worth the wait.

The castle is superb and we were lucky enough to experience an outdoors ceremony as the weather was very good. It's so much less stuffy done this way and the gardens and grounds of the hotel are beautiful, with wonderful views in all directions.

We also stayed in one of the bed rooms overnight, which was located right at the top of a tower, overlooking the gardens and countryside to the rear. The sunset and sunrise were spectacular.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, making it light and modern for an old building. The staff were great, though there was a hiccup at check-in where our room had been given to the wrong guests. Normally fine, but our niece had placed presents in there for us; awkward. All sorted later though.

The food was very good with a delicious wedding lunch and BBQ food later in the garden for guests to enjoy all night. There were three bars in use throughout the proceedings but it was a bit of a shame that when we got there a bit early, we couldn't get a drink. Luckily they pointed us at the leisure club in the grounds where we were able to quench our thirst.

All in all, a fantastic location to get married and great old building to do it in. Every detail was so well executed and all I saw were lots of happy people.

Wonderful Wedding Venue

The approach to the hotel is through beautiful surroundings beautifully tended.  The gardens are manicured and a relaxing environment to spend time.The welcome from Debbie was both friendly and remarkably efficient (she didn't even have to ask our names) and the service she provided throughout our stay was even better.  The room - and especially the bed - was comfortable and clean with a lovely view over sweeping fields.  The restaurant was charming and quiet, albeit a little warm on the first sunny day we've seen for a while.  The menu offered sufficient choice (not too much), the food was good, well cooked, and the starters were excellent.  Service in the restaurant, both at dinner and breakfast, was outstanding - with especial thanks to Lewis (Luis??) for looking after us - and retrieving my hat when I left it under the table.We only stayed one night, as a half-way stopover between North Wales and Birmingham but we will be going back for longer.  I can see how this place is attractive as a wedding venue but it's equally as attractive as a peaceful retreat at any time.  Marvellous - and I can't praise the staff enough.

So kind and welcoming nothing was too much trouble simply a credit to the hotel.The interior of the castle was so beautiful i will remember it for many years to come, Very historic an steeped in history it was a joy to behold, truly. My room (9) was well no other word suites, perfect. Spotlessly clean and easily the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Period correct antique furnishings really set the mood for this remarkable experience.Bathroom was fabulous also clean and well appointed no complaints. The grounds are amazing and well worth a look around very peaceful and a feast for the eyes. My sleep was again perfect and incredibly silent no disruptions all night so very pappy indeed.I was greeted by the lovely lady during Breakfast in the morning, she was so friendly and a credit to the hotel again nothing was too much bother 10/10. The breakfast itself was so delicious and very well presented and quality of ingredients was top drawer which I appreciate. Highly recommended.

Outstanding service with Great food

We were lucky to book one of thee four poster rooms in the castle and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful and we envied people holding their wedding there. 
Dinner in the restaurant was superb and very relaxed. Breakfast, too, was pleasant and set us up for the day.
