The Nook

We really liked it....our room was clean, comfortable and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the idea of a kitchen area and although we didn't use it for cooking we liked being able to keep real.lilk in the fridge. We would definitely stay again and would make use of the kitchen area more if we did. It's a great place to stay.

We stayed at the nook for 2 nights booking room 2 which had a sea view . The room was clean and comfortable it was nice to open the windows and hear the seagulls and enjoy all the fresh sea air ! We could see the sea but it’s quite far off in the distance .The bathroom was kind of small but was clean and had a big shower and was fine for us . We liked the coded entry , so convenient to not have to carry keys around with us and no check in or out , we were kept updated via the booking app. We didn’t use the kitchen or gardens but could see they were a good size and clean. The free parking car park was much appreciated and one of the main reasons we booked this place , it did become full quite quickly and is quite tight spaces so be ready for that if you’ve got a big car !  It took about 10 mins to walk to the seafront and shops which was great however be aware it is a steep hiill on the way back up ! We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again

Lovely large room on the group floor, great bathroom and view of the communal garden. Only one problem, we booked through Booking.com and didn’t get an email Re code for the door . After a phone call we eventually got the code . Probably a 10 minute walk down a steep hill to the beach but having parking was a bonus .

Contact less check in, instructions sent via email.  Really easy.  Lovely room, but the shower room was long and narrow, the shower cubicle was fine but on opening the cubicle door you are stuck between the sink and the window.  As in all places we stay nowhere in the shower cubicle to put anything.  Plenty of wardrobe space.  A mini fridge on the floor of the wardrobe, which was really annoying.  But at least we had a fridge!  The coffee machine was great.  As everyone says, the walk down the hill OK, the walk back up - no way!  We had a taxi back up twice.  If you are looking for somewhere to eat try The Hub, basically burgers but lovely, and loads of gluten free options.  If we return to St Ives we would certainly stay at the Nook again.

Can't fault this place. Good size twin room for my son & I. Clean coffee machine & kettle tea & coffee pods in the room. Comfortable lounge. Runs well with no staff resident in site. Cleaner delightful & very hard working.

Just back from a 5 day stay at The Nook, St Ives.
The pre arrival info pack and communication had all you needed to know.
Parking was available as we arrived as booked, so was the room, even though we were slightly earlier than check in.
Our stay incorporated our wedding anniversary and I had arranged for flowers to be delivered to the office for onward delivery to our room.
I had made all the arrangements with Lynne, who was excellent. The flowers were late but Lynne did everything in her power to sort it for us.
They even provided a vase, as I had forgotten one.
The room had everything's mg we needed, and was very clean and well presented.
Due to COVID the towels were simply left in a bag outside the room door in a morning and fresh laundered ones awaited us after our days excursions.
The Nook is a well run small guest house / hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other guests.
If there is a single point to note, it is 1/2 mile from the main seafront area, which is easy going as it's all downhill, but uphill as you walk back.
Next time in St Ives The Nook will be our preferred choice.

We stayed here in October for a few days. On our arrival we were made to feel very welcome and offered tea. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and well presented. Breakfast consisted of a choice of cereals, yogurt and fruit as well as full English and as much tea, coffee and toast you required. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Yes the car park is a bit tight but we never had a problem parking. I would stay here again as the room was comfortable, good choice of breakfast and excellent staff.

Good location - easy drive / walk to St Ives. On-site parking.  Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and attentive staff.  Certainly rates highly on our list of "stay there again".

We booked the superior kingsize room which had lovely sea views. Our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, 2 bedside tables with lovely lamps, 2 chests of drawers, a built in wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers, a small fridge, sofa, kettle with plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, lovely white fluffy towels and good quality toiletries. Our en suite was compact but had a really good shower with plenty of hot water and a good sized wash basin.
The breakfasts were amazing. There was a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice etc. The full English and veggie full breakfast were so good that we could barely manage any lunch. You could also have omelettes, eggs etc on toast, croissants, as much toast, tea and coffee as you wanted, all served with a smile.
Dave was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and John was genial and generous. 
Parking costs £2 per night which is a bargain. There is a lovely lounge for guests with a large TV and plenty of DVDs.
The walk down into St. Ives was very steep but didn't take long. We did walk back up once but due to serious health problems it was a bit difficult for me: however the taxi only costs about £3.70 and worth every penny.
A lovely B&B - we would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, tidy and well run B&B. Although the room we had (No. 4) was not massive it did the job for two of us for a two night stay and gave us a peaceful night's sleep each night. Very comfortable and clean throughout. Bathroom was also clean and had a good shower which was warm and powerful.Nice lounge to sit in and relax if required.Breakfast was very good with a range of yoghurt, cereal and juices before a hot option of full English/vegetarian/omelette/eggs etc. Sampled the full English, omelette and scramble eggs and salmon and wasn't disappointed at all. Everything was well cooked, brought to the table not long after ordering, plentiful and tasted great. It certainly set us up for each say we were there.Car parking was available although advisable to notify the B&B in advance to secure a space - more relevant in the busier summer months.We could just about make out the sea from our room over the top of neighbouring properties.  Only think missign was a dressing table that perhaps could have fitted in alongside the chest of drawers in the room.St Ives itself is only a short 10 minute stroll from the B&B although does involve a steep hill - although this would likely apply to most accommodation in the area with the nature of St Ives being hilly - even the town itself. The biggest asset to the Nook was the staff. We received a very warm welcome and left to feel that nothing would be too much trouble.All in all we had a great stay and would definitely return
