Stoneybeck Inn

Only booked for one night, but our room was beautifully decorated, smart and clean.
Even though it's not too far from the road, we didn't find traffic noise to be intrusive at all.
Breakfast, included in the price, was plentiful and tasty and set us up for the day.
Service was very prompt and pleasant and we'd highly recommend this lovely venue, it's a credit to its owners.

As I have visited here before and wasn’t at all impressed I was a little underwhelmed at the idea of going for my work Christmas party, although in saying this I had no need to have any reservations, the food was beautiful beautifully presented, cooked very well and very tasty. The surroundings are very nice, toilets could do with some attention and the one of the young waitresses was a little rude and miserable but then this can all come down to confidence and working in a large room which was full of people some of which can’t remember what they are eating 😬 
All in all very pleased and I will say I will not have any reservations about visiting again.

Two weeks ago my husband and I got married at Stoneybeck. I can not recommend this hotel enough, whether you are looking for a venue for an event, somewhere to eat or a bed for a night or two.

All staff are friendly, helpful and there is nothing that is too much trouble for them. We stayed in the Pennine Suite the night before our wedding, situated in the cottage behind the main building, which was clean, had plenty of room, very comfortable and had an en suite bathroom. On the night of our wedding, we stayed in the bridal suite, which is very dreamy with a comfortable four poster bed, and a spacious en suite bathroom. Our guests who stayed at Stoneybeck the night before the wedding and the night of were very happy with their bedrooms also. 

We had breakfast, included in the price on our wedding morning and the morning after, which was lovely, and the evening before we had had a meal, which was beautifully cooked and very tasty.

My husband and I are going to return to Stoneybeck as soon as we can - the only downside being we can’t have our wedding day again, which we already want to relive! 

Stayed here due to having a wedding in the area and the reception at Stoneybeck. 
I was in the Scafell room in the cottage out the back. Was a lovely comfortable little room. The beds were A+. 

Breakfast was a Full English which you ordered the night before, lots of choices as well as the usual cereal, fruit etc. 

The reception was beautiful, the staff were attentive and helpful.  Food was lovely. 

Nice hotel great breakfast good staff nice room a bit warm no air con easily found no food had to go to town and travel easy off motorway toilets fab staff excellent may travel this way again hope it has got a bit busier

Stopped over one night , rooms small, cold summer day with no way of heating the room due to boiler turned off. 
Breakfast was good and rooms away from main road. Bathroom clean, location to Penrith was a 5 minute drive to reach the village.

This place is only just off junction 41 (I think) of the M6, and makes a nice change from the budget chains while still being a reasonable price.

I stayed in a room in an annex across the car park, which was a downside in wet weather, but the room itself was modern, especially the bathroom, and the large bed comfortable.  

Breakfast was good, with the hot food cooked to order.

Stayed here overnight on a trip to Glasgow & back on business.
We arrived late & all the customers in the bar & restaurant had gone home but we had a warm welcome and could still have a drink in the bar if we wanted.
The room was on the small side, but plenty big enough for us and the bathroom was fine.
Everywhere was thoroughly clean and in good order throughout, and the staff were very welcoming & friendly.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order & very tasty.
So we'll definitely stay again when we're in the area.
