We are on a family trip to Scotland, family of 10 from Malaysia. Finding accommodation for such a large group is challenging to say the least. We took 2 apartments at the Malt House & it worked perfectly for us. The only negative is the 2 bed apartments are on the second floor, getting bags up wasn't easy. Other than that, the stay was excellent. The apartment are big, bright, & clean. Well equipped with good kitchen facilities. Very handy as we cooked in quite a lot. The beds were comfortable & the showers good pressure. The building it's self is beautiful, formerly a bonded whisky store There is a pub over the road, & a supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. We could walk to the Castle in 18 minutes & lots of restaurants nearby. It wasn't cheap, nothing in Edinburgh is, but I'd say it was fair value for the area. We particularly liked the keypad entry system meaning we could come & go as we pleased without worrying about who has a key. This was an excellent stay & we'd use again if back in Edinburgh.
