We reserved a room one hour in adva ce, while traveling with family. We received a very quick reply. Friendly admittance in a beautiful lodge. Clean and spacy room. Breakfast was deliscious. Good parking space. We really enjoyed our stay and defenately reccomend this place.

Lovely and friendly place

We recently stayed for 4 nights.  We found both Mike and Myra very friendly, an excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room.  Myra was very helpful with maps and guides for walking.  Would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful break in the Exmoor National Park area.

I stayed here for one night during my trip around Cornwall. 
I arrived early evening in the pouring rain and looking like a drowned rat aboard my motorcycle. 
I was greeted by the owner, his first words were,  "fancy a hot brew and if you give me your wet gear, I'll get it dried for you"
What more could you ask for ??
I had a single room with ensuite book through Booking.com.
My room was clean and tidy the only thing I didn't have was a TV, but there is a large TV lounge downstairs,  it didn't bother me.
Breakfast was filling and tasty, the downside was there were only two large tables, so everyone sat together, not my cup of tea, but it was only for one meal.
To all the other bikers out there, this place is biker friendly, good large car park, shielded from road views.
I would return here again, and I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Beautiful old world charm

We stopped here for one night travelling between lands end and John o’groats. We loved our short stay.   The house was like a national trust property. The garden area was massive. The family bedroom was enormous with plenty of space for the 3 of us. I understand none of the rooms contain a tv but we didn’t miss it. There is a shared living room which contains sky tv and plenty of sofas and even a grand piano. The living room also contains books and a puzzle which defeated us all. Thank god for google! The breakfast was cooked to order and was plentiful with an array of cereals, fruit and toast. Our 6 year old’s best bit “ playing football in the big garden!”. 

Overnight stay

We stayed one night on our journey down to Cornwall and on our arrival we were welcomed with tea and biscuits served on the veranda. Such a lovely way to be greeted after a long drive! The rooms were clean and we all had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great and the hosts gave us plenty of good advise were to go and what to see as we continued our holiday. We would most definitly stay here again!
