Very good food and good service. Asked for them to put the euro game on and put it on straight away. Lovely food aswell. The steak and ale pie was really good and so was the chicken pie aswell pastry was wonderful

My wife and I enjoyed everything about this pub. The warm welcome, the local ales, the delicious food (the steak, mushroom and ale pie is the best I've ever had) and reasonable prices made this a lovely lunchtime visit. Thank you to all the staff!

We had a lovely meal.
Hand made chicken, ham and leek pie with fat chips and seasonal vegetables, and a fish pie. There were a range of other dishes including fresh fish and other traditional Inn dishes. The Sunday roast was popular with other diners.

For dessert we shared an Eton mess in a tall sundae glass. There was also a gf chocolate brownie available.

The malbec was good and the cafetiere of coffee at the end.

Very good value, friendly attentive staff - even the locals made us welcome.

The restaurant was also popular with families on the night we were there and they made custom desserts to suit children.

No hesitation recommending The Greyhound Inn for dinner 

We have eaten several times at The Greyhound Inn.
The food is fantastic and is all home cooked to order.
The Sunday roast is worth a try 
They have a good range of local ales and a good choice of wines and spirits .
The staff are friendly and helpful .
So if you like good home cooked food and real ale this is the place to visit.
To avoid disappointment book a table .
They also have several letting rooms which are always busy .
Oh and they have a large car park .

Just come back from a 2 night stay at this lovely place.  The room was more than adequate for our needs, 2 people and a dog.  It even had a little tv lounge as well as the bedroom and en-suite facilities, we didn't expect that!!!
It was comfortable and clean.
We ate in the Inn the 1st night and found the food lovely as was the great breakfasts the following two mornings.
The staff were great, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and the owner Liz was so helpful and friendly.
Would definitely come and stay again it was home from home and great value for money.

Visited here in November,  the room was beautiful and much nicer than the pictures show. Clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were lovely. 
Location is excellent for exploring around Coniston and stunning views.  
Excellent get away for couples and the bar food is good quality and inexpensive.  Loved the thick homemade chips.
Will be making this inn a regular weekend get away . 

Visited several times as we rented a local cottage for a week. Food was consistently great, local ale very good good. The only thing missing from the menu was a warm desert with custard! Tried many items on the menu all were very good. Staff also friendly especially the son of the owners! Had good outside tables as well as spacious inside tables. No need to book during the week, but over the weekends it’s recommended, you won’t be disappointed.
