Lodge at Leeming Bar

My girlfriend & I spent 2 nights here in cold November. The room was a decent size, was spotlessly clean, everything worked, the staff we saw were nice.(there must be a tie-up with the Costa next door, whose staff pick up the baton if reception is closed). The location is good, just off the A1, and our room was quiet & warm, so we slept well. Within half a mile is a great pub you can walk to (Corner House) and a co-op supermarket; on site, a Costa, a McDonalds & a small shop. The only down sides were that the shower pressure was low and a wasp stung my foot: I do not blame the hotel in any way for the behaviour of a renegade insect. Really not a bad place, considering the price and I’d use it again.
