Cosy rooms with modern bathrooms and set in a perfect location (only a short walk from the centre of Keswick).Felt very welcomed on arrival and throughout. Plenty of options for breakfast and set us up perfect for a days mountain biking.Thanks Liz and Chris for having us!

This was a last minute booking due to the fabulous weather forecast and it did not disappoint. Lovely welcome our room was spotlessly clean very comfy with everything we needed for a relaxed 2 night stay. Close to the centre of lovely Keswick some great walk. Breakfast was fabulous too.

Liz and Chris were fantastic hosts, we had a wonderful stay and the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Lovely quality duvet, and fantastic breakfast of yoghurt and fruit, homemade granola, cereals, tea, coffee, toast and local jams, and a full English breakfast. They also offer vegetarian options and avocado and poached egg on toast. The options were vast and high quality. They go above and beyond for guests, and catered specifically to my partner being gluten free by providing gluten free bread and granola at breakfast. We will certainly be back and will be recommending Goodwin House to family and friends. Thank you!

This is a great guesthouse in the centre of Keswick, an ideal location with access to all the walks direct from the doorstep.I had an excellent stay with the highlights being a friendly and attentive host, super clean room with a comfortable bed (big plus after a day out walking) and an awesome breakfast with loads of options.Highly recommend if you’re looking at visiting the area :)

Liz and Chris were great hosts, friendly, helpful and warm making our stay delightful.  Breakfast fare was delious and plentiful.  Bathroom was tiny but, spotless.  Would highly recommend to any one visting this lovely lake district.

Excellent, high quality B&B. The welcome and check-in set the tone for a first class visit. Our room was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast choice was great, really liked the option to have a lighter avocado on sourdough as a change from the full English, which was also lovely! Thank you, we will definitely be back!!

An excellent Keswick Guesthouse

Top quality B&B

We had a fab 2 night stay at Goodwin House and would love to go back again one day. Stayed in the Skiddaw Room at the top of the house and the views were amazing. A lovely and exceptionally clean and comfortable room with everything you’d need for a stay, including the most gorgeous smelling toiletries! Chris and Liz were really lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the homemade granola scrummy! We’ll be back! X

What an amazing quiet and very comfortable B&B that is a few minutes walk from keswick town centre. The owners made me and my friend very welcome. They were first class super hosts. The breakfasts were superb and we were even treated to some yummy cake which was such a nice touch. I will definitely be staying again :)

I have been visiting Keswick for a good few years and always been very happy with any B&B I used. However, this was my forth consecutive stay at Goodwin House, either as a solo traveller, or more often with my partner, but always thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I'm looking forward to my next visit with them.

Forth time at Goodwin House.

Chris and Liz were so welcoming. There was a great choice for breakfast with all hot food cooked to perfection and the fact that you could also choose to have a home cooked evening meal (at a very reasonable cost) was a bonus for me. The view from my room (no 4) was spectacular with everything pristine. In my opinion the best b&b by far. I look forward to my next stay in their beautiful home

Amazing

Such a lovely place! The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is delicious! Very sweet people too!The only downside is that they don’t keep your luggage until later in the day for you, which is so essential for someone like me who doesn’t have a car to store their things in and is dependent on bus schedules and each B&B’s arbitrary check in and out times. They recommended I leave my luggage at a laundromat in town, but it would have been really nice and helpful if they would have an extra key and lock box just to access the downstairs room to store it in during the afternoon. They said they don’t do it because they might not be there,  but the lock box could solve the problem and would make a world of difference to guests like me! Just a suggestion for the future! ❤️Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!

Lovely Place and Lovely People!

The thing we most enjoyed at the Goodwin was the breakfast. There were really good breakie options (Vegetarian/vegan) the coffee was great too! Chris and Liz were so warm and welcoming. There was even a slice of cake on arrival. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Everything was in walking distance and we parked outside on the road for free. I'd definitely recommend and would love to come back again. Thank you both for a wonderful trip. Polly and James x

We spent 3 nights at Goodwin House and had a lovely time. The owners were very friendly, attentive and gave us good recommendations. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty to choose from and a decent spread for continental breakfast. And the B&B was in a good location, just a 5 minute walk to the edge of the centre of Keswick. We would definitely return to and recommend Goodwin House when visiting Keswick!
