The George Hotel

Beautiful stained glass windows, welcoming friendly staff, and delicious food. Cod pieces chips and mushy peas and olives,peppers and artichoke all good.  Lots of picnic tables opposite the pub, clean loos and well-kept bitter.
A charming village to walk round exploring up alley ways and admiring the idiosyncratic flint cottages.

A pleasant stop off on a long walk. The decor is pleasant and clean. A very good pint and a very nice packet of crisps in the beer garden on a a Sunny afternoon served by a very friendly land lady. Nice. Just be mindful of the road you need to cross to get to the beer garden.

Gorgeous food @ The George

Beer and crisps

Down in cley for weeks holiday. Went for lunch here. It’s shut. 

Location is good sad to see it shut. 

Went down the road to dun cow at salt house had a good meal and dog welcome. 

Cley was a really nice place and the walks are good. Get a map it really helps and not all marked. Some are not dog friendly so needed to re route a couple of times.

This is closed at present.

Very sad to see the George is closed. What the hell has gone on - it is (was) the only pub in Cley (we've been going since the 1980s) - so who has let it go to this sorry state? Went to the Three Swallows nearby, nice pub, but not as good as the George in its hey-day.

Closed!!

Arrived for lunch on Tuesday 30th April to be told they only served food Wednesday to Sunday. Needless to say less than impressed when you’ve walked a mile with a 1 year old. Update your website!??food all day every day according to that?!!
