This was a Really nice place to stay, good food, service was really good. The owners were really nice, very happy to help. Couldn't ask for any more. 
We will definitely be back next year to stay again 

Lovely 2 night stay for work, the bar staff and land lady were exceptional and the food was freshly made and of great quality. Room was comfy and clean.
Will definitely stay again if in the area!

I can't recommend this pub enough. The landlord and landlady were lovely. They were polite and made me very welcome to their pub. I have stayed here fir 7 nights in total over 2 weeks so I think I got a good feel of the place. The other staff working here are very polite and I think it was Tom who greeted me on my arrival was fantastic. Food was excellent and good quality. I see there was a couple of negative reviews recently and all I can say is ignore them and come here it's awesome.
I was here on a business trip so I didn't really get to fully explore the area but what I did see was beautiful. The river Usk is amazing.
Thank-you for my fantastic stay I will definitely stay here again when I come to the area.

Stopped here for some lunch after I’d been to the registry office was greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar who was very polite. I ordered my food and drink and went to sit outside in the beer garden. Food arrived and was delicious and the cold shandy went down a treat will definitely be back if I’m in the area

Having read some of the other reviews I must say I don't recognise the place or the people described in them. I stayed for two nights mid week whist visiting a local site. I met at least 5 members of staff and all were friendly and helpful. I certainly didn't meet the angry lady referred to in some reviews. Yes the rooms are on the small side but plenty big enough to function as a bed room. The room was clean and furnished to an acceptable standard. Evening food was well cooked, hot and tasty, breakfast was as good as anywhere and trust me, I spend many days a year on the road. 
My only criticism would be that I couldn't connect to the free Internet in my room, but I soon resolved that by moving the laptop to the bar and enjoyed a pint whilst I worked. Problem solved.
Would I stay here again. Yes I would.

Stopped off in usk for a walk up the river and stopped in here for a quick drink l. It was a Monday and we sat in the beer garden which is undercover and ordered drinks. Brilliant selection may I had . Then we seen other people’s food coming out and it looked fantastic so we had to try and we wasn’t disappointed 1 little bit. 
My wife had Gammon egg pineapple with chips and I had the lasagna proper home cooked food none of this processed rubbish. Shall definitely return and recommending this place as the food service and price was all spot on.

Stayed at the cross keys on our way to visit family. Very quaint pub with lots of history. The owner Nic was brilliant spending time with us chatting about usk and surrounding areas. Lunch was brilliant and plenty of it if honest too much food for me, but all the same very well priced. Even catered for my picky tastes. Lovely big garden too which is a bonus very pretty with lots of chairs and tables. Look forward to visiting again when we’re are passing. Please pass on our thanks to all your staff they couldn’t have been more accommodating

From the moment we walked into the garden we were greeted with a lovely member of staff who took us to our table and got our drinks and came back with menus, there was a great choice
Of food and it was delicious, nothing was too much trouble will be returning and highly recommend The Cross Keys Usk, thank you.

Stayed here for one night in March as a solo traveller.
Great pub with a nice atmosphere. Good beer, Clean rooms, lovely staff.
Room was a bit noisy but it’s a pub so got expect that.
Landlady kindly dried my walking boots overnight too.
Very tasty cooked breakfast but no meals served in the evening.

Very friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble the room we stayed in was spotless and cosy. The lady with long blonde hair couldn't do enough for you. Will hopefully be returning soon Would definitely recommend this lovely little pub xx

Very nice local pub

Used the cross keys as a base to have a night out in Usk and it was just the job. Rooms were excellent value, clean and comfy and the pub it’s self offered a great range of drinks. Although we didn’t eat here due to a pre booked meal, the menu looked great with a lot of homemade produce and also vegan and gluten free options available. The welcome from Nicola and the team we encountered was very friendly and would defiantly recommended this as a place to stay.

Night out in Usk

The Cross Keys Inn is the perfect base to explore Usk town, it’s castle and surrounding beautiful countryside.
We arrived to be warmly welcomed by the very the helpful and friendly team. We were allocated Room 4 which had a very comfortable bed and a roomy ensuite with bath. Everything was clean with lots of towels and essentials for a short stay. We slept well. The breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.. was superb and all ingredients were top quality served on hot plates, absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we look forward to returning for another stay soon.
