Broughton House

This review is long overdue as I have lost track of the number of times we have stayed at Cates! We've stayed in both Garden House and Ben's Yurt, and we often travel with a friend who stays in the Little Garden House. The yurt is our fave as we love the private garden area. We always love coming back, it's such a lovely peaceful spot, and the huge garden is fantastic (and much appreciated by our dog as well!). It's also in a quiet part of the lakes so you can come here and avoid the crowds whilst still enjoying really nice walks. Cate is the most incredible host and has thought of everything - love the brownies, shortbread and eggs from the hens! And she is so flexible letting people book for however many nights they want, and offering reduced rates for solo travellers. Also one of the only places we have stayed that doesn't charge extra for bringing dogs. Already looking forward to our next stay later in the year!
