Really cracking place to stay nice bed with great pillows and loads of room, I will definitely be coming back as I live in Doncaster but work in Lincoln and I have a holiday home at Skegness.
Massive well done to Darren for making this stay a pleasure!

This is a splendid guest house. 

I had an event at the Lincolnshire Show-ground and this guest house was in ample distance. I booked via Booking.com and was shortly telephoned by Darren to confirm my booking. He was superb - diligent, kind and very willing to cover my requirements. He is a great asset. 

When I arrived at the Guest House, I was greeted by Sally who was lovely and so helpful. She showed me to Room 6, which was a large room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was great, was sizeable, was incredibly clean, had a good sized bathroom and the tea tray was well stocked. It had everything I needed and more. 

There was also ample parking outside the guest house which provided peace of mind. 

In the evenings, I walked into the centre of Lincoln. This took 20-25 minutes and was a nice and pleasant walk. 

Overall, I had a lovely stay and will be returning when I’m next in Lincoln. Thank you Darren and Sally.

Stopped here for the weekend. Had stopped there years ago and was pleasantly surprised how they have upgraded the rooms. The house it's self has some lovely features, stained glass windows and the hall had lovely floor boards and period rugs. The stair case has lovely thick quality carpet. My room was lovely. The bathroom had quality fittings. The bed lovely and very comfortable. The linen sheets were brilliantly white crisp and smelt fresh. even the hangers in the wardrobe are quality!! Cannot fault this place at all. Everything was immaculately clean the tea and coffee tray was very generous. I have stayed in 5 ⭐ hotels that couldn't meet the stands of south park. Wonderful privately owned guest house. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Room,(6) very well appointed with some lovely touches e.g. disposable ear plugs if you have difficulty sleeping. Fred standing fan for comfort. The whole place was immaculately clean and the standard of housekeeping in the room is to be applauded as totally 100℅. Often neglected by budget hotels and even top end establishments, but not here. Excellent.

I spoke to Darren the owner directly and he very kindly sorted a room out for my 1 night in Lincoln. Clean, tidy, and very friendly staff which is a credit. The room had kettle, coffee, tea, hot chocolate drink too, sugar, biscuits. Tv with freeview The bathroom had a shower which was clean and spotless with clean towels. 1 large 2 small hand towels. Met the staff on the Sunday who are chatty and friendly.  Darren also allowed me to park up after checkout on the sunday, so I could visit the castle before travelling home. It is a good walk to the main shopping high street but is on a bus route. As I don't mind walking, it was no.bother for me. If you are visiting the castle, be prepared for steep hill, which takes you up to the castle and is an understatement. Should call it heart attack Hill lol. Sorry for being going off piste a little. Anyway I would highly recommend this guest house and would give it 5 * and if I am ever in the area again, will definitely stay here again

Yet again another lovely stay, this was my second stay , very clean very comfy , if you are looking for somewhere to stay near Lincoln town centre then this place come's highly recommended, and a smooth process

We stayed here for 2 nights on a much needed break. The welcome was warm & friendly and the room was perfect. In the current situation breakfast was not available but that gives us an excuse to come back again. All provision was made to make us feel safe staying at the Hotel during this time.  Nothing was to much trouble for Jackie or Darren. We are hoping to return later this year. Would Definitely recommend to family & friends.

Stayed here for one night and was very impressed with the quality of the room.
Owners have spent good money and invested in the rooms.
Top quality shower and modern handbasin.
Bed was very good and room furnishings all new (room 4)
plenty of tea and coffee making facilities and even more extras.

Jackie, who runs South Park is a real credit to the owner Darren. Nothing is too much trouble and she really looks after guests. Delicious home cooked breakfast and a very comfortable guest lounge. Great rooms. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Stayed here for one night for work and it had everything I needed. It was less than a half an hour walk to Lincoln city centre, and the room and very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again if I revisit Lincoln.

Thoroughly recommend.  Little gem.

Went to Lincoln to visit family. Wanted a nearby guest house & the manager Darren was very helpful. My train was arriving after their usual check in time so he arranged for my son to collect the key earlier & showed him the room.  Having arthritis I struggle with stairs so I got a room on the first floor. Very cozy, everything very clean & a lovely tray of tea, coffee, plenty of milk & biscuits. The room was so warm I turned the radiator down. A firm bed which suited me. The shower does take a while to warm up but I was left loads of towels & shampoo/conditioner sachets. It's very quiet, only disturbed by the sound of other guests going upstairs. WIFI available, small hairdryer & the welcome book gives lots of ideas for places of local interest. The house is dated but well loved and cared for.  It's about a mile into town so walkable or there are a few buses.  Will definitely return.

Top quality stopover,well above the norm for quality.

I stayed for 1 night on a fairly rushed solo trip.  Firstly the member of staff who greeted me was super-efficient and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, although the common areas were a bit dark & dated.  Plenty of free tea & coffee, biscuits and chocolates in the room were a nice touch.  I didn't have breakfast, but the reviews all seem to confirm it's pretty good.  Only upon arrival did I realise that the room didn't have a stand-up shower: that should have been advised in advance, for folks like me who have arthritis and find getting in/out of the bath under a sloping eaves was tricky.  I also found the mattress on the bad a little worn & lumpy and not that comfortable, especially when compared to hotels which I stay at alot (Ibis, Holiday Inn, etc).  Light sleepers should note that there was a lot of heating noise in that room throughout the night, I guess because it was on the top floor & probably close to the boiler/hot water tank(?)

Upon arriving in my room (on the top floor) I realised that the toilet set+lid had totally detached from the toilet.  I was told this would be fixed whilst I was out for the day, but it wasn't and I returned too late to disturb anyone.  So not the best bathroom experience!

Not sure I'd choose to stay here again due to the sleep quality and bathroom/shower situation, but to be fair that may only be relevant to this particular room.

We returned once again to South Park in December 2018 Yes I'm really bad at getting round to writing reviews!! Sorry Jackie. Again we requested the Annex Room , we love this room as it is not part of the main house so we can come and go and not disturb any other guests at any time.
Yet again had another wonderful stay, room always cleaned to the highest standard bed just gets comfier every time we stay. Breakfast was delicious as always, I cannot rate this Guest House high enough and Jackie is always a fantastic host and a genuinely lovely lady. I took some home made Christmas cookies as a thank you for looking after us so well on all of our stays. As we left Jackie presented us with a card ,a bottle of wine for Steve a very nice red and chocolate for me.

Cant wait to return soon.

Get ready for a long detailed paragraph 😂 Time of visit may be different but giving a full well deserved review,  me and my boyfriend visited for a night away in Lincoln after struggling to find a cheap but half decent place for us to stay at as this trip was not planned, just well needed last minute. I came across this guesthouse and thought it was ideal due to the distance from the train station and shops as I struggle to walk long periods of time due to illness. We booked on booking.com (could be wrong?) But made the mistake of thinking it was pay when we get there not sudden bank transfere although i was abit irritated at this fact this was my own fault for not reading and just booking the cheapest option for us. The lady was very helpful and let us off and payed at the property which she did not have to do at all. Getting there was easy to find after the first time but only following Google maps as there was alley ways and a bridge after walking down the long road with all the shops on it. But found it easy walking back and forth for the rest of our stay. It wasn't a long walk but I believe you can cut your walking distance with a local bus however it was our first time in Lincoln and had no idea of the route. When we first got there we were greeted politely and shown to our rooms and taken through details of where to go for breakfast and generally shown around the guest house. The downstairs has a front room with coffee machines, snacks, couches, books, magazines, tv(I think) and a computer. It was very quiet I think it would be a great place to chill out and get work done for people visiting on business. honestly wasn't expecting a 5 star experience for our stay due to the price however our room was absolutely immaculate and we had an en suite bathroom. What made this stay memorable for us personally was the detail and little things that are purely out of thought and care. Such as earplugs on the bedside tables, different tea, coffee and hot chocolate with a little range of biscuits. There was an extra blanket available in the wardrobe as well. It was a really lovely experience in the room to say that we went for a night away to spend time together and do a bit of shopping, it amazes me how what we thought was just a room for the night could add so much to our trip. We payed for breakfast in the morning after and was given a choice of time which was nice. When we came down we went into another room and it was like a mini restaurant! A decent amount of tables and chairs but not overcrowded. There was a selection of cereals, fruits and drinks along with everything on the menu which we was politely encouraged to use however we both struggle to eat much in mornings so just stuck with our hot breakfasts although made use of the fresh juices and coffee. On the menu was a decent selection, from what I remember there was an omelette option and a couple of others. We both decided to go for a full english/fry up to start off our day for shopping and was not disappointed in the slightest. It wasn't a massively piled up plate that was unrealistic to finish it was just the right amount to fill us up. I'm not keen on sausages usually but these were delicious, didn't taste like they were frozen or cheap but even if they was they were probably the best sausages I've ever eaten. Our check out time was not long after the breakfast and I worried about dragging our suitcase round with us all day but we was able to leave them at the guesthouse and trusted to take our key and just leave it when we come back for our belongings. This ended up being very helpful as struggled to walk around as it was so came back early and if we had to take it with us I'd of rather had that or bags as my boyfriend couldn't carry everything. No one was there when we got back so left our key and noticed they had a book of thank you notes from previous guests, so on our way back I bought a card just to say thank you for for our experience and for the little things the lady had done purely out of her own heart. When we were on the train I received a text message thanking us for the card and wishing us a safe trip home and made a comment on us leaving our room tidy as when they've had young couples before (we were 19+20 at this point) they have left their rooms in a tip and haven't really appreciated it like we have which I think is appalling. And I think this lady (don't remember names very well but still have the texts) has done such an amazing job running this guest house and would be my first and only reccomendation for anyone looking for a stay in Lincoln!
