Elaine made me feel very very welcome from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was ultra clean and the bed very comfortable indeed. The area in which it is situated is just beautiful with lovely walks along the adjacent river. As the building is at the end of a quiet residential road there is no outside noise at all apart from the occasional plane overhead but double glazing kept that noise out.

Great place to stay if you love doing Parkrun (very close to the start), like being close to the coast and being in leafy surrounds. We normally stay in the city centre when we go to Edinburgh, but we wanted to be closer to Parkrun in Cramond. Plus we were going to a wedding at Dundas Castle, so we stayed in Cramond. It’s a lovely place & cant recommend it enough. Elaine, the owner, makes a mean breakfast.  And do sample her home made scones before you leave. 

Visited here after walking up and watching the ducklings and heron on the water. The home made scones were absolutely delicious and the best I have tasted for a long time. I had apple scone made with brown flour - so very tasty. My partner had a very light and delicious cheese scone with his broccoli soup. Well worth a visit for the wildlife and food. Thank you to the friendly helpful staff. As it is dog friendly we can bring our friends here with their canines. The sun shone into the walled garden where we ate our lunch so that was a real bonus.

My new husband Stephen and I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights and it was a wonderful stay.  Our hosts Elaine and Ali were so friendly and welcoming and our room was incredible. A beautiful old mill that has been sympathetically restored with the added bonus of a cafe. Breakfast, homemade scones and coffee to die for.  Hope it's not too long until we return. The riverside setting is an added bonus 😊

We had a short 2 night stay here. The location may put some off as it is on the periphery of Edinburgh and to get into the town is a 25 min bus ride or car trip. That being said the location is idyllic: the B&B lies approx 20m from a lovely river and about 200m from the sea! The building itself is surrounded by trees. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast can be the full English number or merely a continental breakfast. The real beauty here is that it is possible to escape the bustle of the city in the evenings which for us was worth its weight in gold. On a price front, we paid GBP 100 per night which for Edinburgh prices is unbelievable, especially considering the high standard of the rooms. ( our bed apparently was an antique from the 16 th century!). 
All in all this is a super place to stay if you want to be able to visit Edinburgh but still want a bit of countryside.

I booked Cramond Mill B&B because of the good reviews and because it was dog friendly. The location is perfect for a break, if walking is your thing then you'll enjoy the promenade and the Cramond island crossing. Elaine and her staff were very good hosts and prepared an excellent breakfast. I will most certainly visit again and recommend this B&B.

My husband, my son and I come to Edinburgh every year and this is the second time we stay here.  The environment remains to be exceptional as a 17th century mill converted B&B facing green meadow and stream.  The structure and decor are full of character, and we are taken care of by the owner Elaine, who feeds us well and provides such attention to details that make our stay totally worthwhile.  We will be back again!
