Clean, pleasant  and ideal location, staff very friendly and helpful, cosy room, perfect for what we needed, fair price especially when all other places are ramping up their prices to be greedy, will be back again many thanks

Stayed at a holiday let near by. The staff have been exceptionally welcoming. Fabulous home cooked food and friendly service! Couldn’t of wished for better service and food! Would definitely come back when we next stay!

I needed to stay somewhere for one night on a flying visit to East Anglia. When I phoned I was warned that unfortunately the landlord and landlady were indisposed and so there was no food available during my stay - but I was welcome to use the local chip shop. Nothing daunted I booked and arrived on a freezing cold night to find a proper local pub with friendly and welcoming staff and regulars. I was amazed by the lovely accommodation in the courtyard, everything I needed was carefully provided. I was given directions to the chip shop and brought back my dinner - and within moments was provided with plate, cutlery and condiments. I spent a relaxed evening in the bar and sat on a sofa near the fire with pub cat. I had a very comfortable night's sleep and made some tea in the morning. I look forward to returning. I didn't mind the lack of breakfast as I was going out for a good lunch later on!

I stayed at The Crown earlier this month as I was in Diss for business. I often stay at another nearby chain hotel - however as of recent I have been consistently disappointed by the standards of food and cleanliness. I found this via google maps and saw it was actually significantly cheaper so decided to give it a go. By god, what a stroke of luck that was. This is a beautiful small pub with letting rooms. The hospitality I was shown by Andy and Nina was second to none. I really do feel they go above and beyond for their guests to make their stay pleasant and enjoyable. I had breakfast on everyday which was second to none, I particularly enjoyed the sausages. I also ate dinner on two occasions - the onion rings handmade by Nina are particularly impressive. On the whole I can’t recommend this small gem enough. It has actually encouraged me to stop booking chain hotels for my travels and support small local businesses more often. This was an overnight stay before we had planned to visit some Suffolk villages. The room was lovely, clean and well maintained and extremely reasonably priced. We were warmly welcomed and given access to the large garden, outside tables and chairs and of course the pub itself. The food was excellent and home cooked to order and the pub was cosy and comfortable. The dog was welcome everywhere and we had an excellent stay. The following morning after a delicious breakfast my car would not start and the manager and his wife were wonderful, getting help for us and going above and beyond any expectations. I would certainly recommend this accommodation and would love to stay there again.

Stayed this weekend with my partner and what can I say, such a wonderful peaceful place 
Location is spot on, food and customer service is incredible, the rooms are spotless !

Excellent rooms location and service hosts were friendly and polite and made us feel very welcomed. We had breakfast the following day which was the best I’d had in a long time and great value for money. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at the dickleburgh crown, the staff were kind enough to let us check in early as we were attending a wedding that day. The room we stayed in was beautiful with a nice seating area outside. It was clean and was far bigger than we were expecting for the price. 

The pubs itself was nice and we met and got to play with the owners lovely dog! Overall I would definitely stay again if I wanted a nice quiet holiday, our only complaint would be that we were unable to stay for two nights because it was fully booked :(

Comfortable room and bed. Substantial breakfast. Just what a good Bed &Breakfast  should be. Andy landlord is friendly and welcoming and the location is relatively quiet. We enjoyed touring the local area.

We had a nice stay here,bed comfortable  ,breakfast  was huge ,landlord Andy very helpful, visited nice garden centre at Brassingham it's a must if you like garden centres, nice cafe , loved our stay in this area . Andy we will be back,Jan and Gary .

A gem! Proper hospitable pub.

A short but sweet stay

We booked this so that we could attend the Ed Sheeran concert this last weekend in nearby Ipswich. We arrived after a long drive with bad traffic to our room ready and waiting and a lovely bottle of fizz and chocs and rose petals on the bed as my fiance had told the owners that we had just got engaged. That was a perfect start to our stay. The pub is very old and traditional and has the charm of an old village pub with beams etc. The locals having a pint when we arrived were lovely as was the owners. We had a well needed gin and pint and a couple of games of pool  (I won both games). We were staying in one of the little converted rooms in the courtyard. I think it maybe was called the hollyhock but not sure. Either way it was a great sized room. With a big comfy bed and a huge bathroom. Again with all traditional beams and hugh high ceilings. Very quaint. We told Tina that we were going to the concert the following day and she even offered to collect us from the station at Diss if we got stuck. We didn't eat at the pub as we went exploring but have heard good reviews. For what we paid we cant fault our 2 night stay. Cant say we would visit again as it's so far for us to travel but if we were that way we would definitely book again. Thanks for a great weekend. Xx
