Myself and my best friend stayed here the weekend of the 20th September 2019 as a gift from me to her for her 21st birthday. The grounds and lodges are beautiful, with a canal walk, a short drive away from towns and your own hot tub the fun never ends! This is the perfect place for a relaxing stay, a romantic get away or a family break... this place and location has lots to offer. The staff are all friendly and the lady who checked us in on reception was superb. We will be back here and we would both recommend this place to everyone! Thank you so much :)

We booked this lodge for 6 people as a weekend get away. After reading the reviews we was all a bit apprehensive and worried about what what we was going to turn up to. We arrived late due to a problem on the motorway and we found our keys , map and instructions in reception in an envelope at reception. We stayed in VIP 2 and we thought it was lovely. The decor was nice and homely it was very spacious and clean. There was enough towels for everyone enough kitchen utensils and everything was in working order. The hot tub was lovely and very hot and it was enclosed and private. Overall we have had a brilliant stay and have no complaints and the views surrounding the lodge where very nice as well 

1st cabin the boiler wasnt working however after we mentioned this we were upgraded to v.i.p promptly and with no hesitation. The new cabin was clean well kept with Beautiful views and surroundings and obviously the heating and hot water was perfect. The maintenance team especially john complete legends extremely helpful and friendly staff. We would gladly book another visit. 

Arrived 10am and was met almost immediately by a member of staff who went through the paperwork and was very friendly. She informed us that we would be best off not entering the lodge until it had been cleaned however we were given the keys to it to freshen up before heading out for the day.

Hot tub was immaculate and used every morning. Towels and bed linen were clean. 

Two double bedrooms and a bunk bed room. Note bunk beds are on the small size for grown adults perfect for kids though.

Could the lodge benefit from some slight attention yes but it was perfect for our weekend and the reason we've been back to this park for the second time in two years.

Beautiful Weekend Away

Another great stay for group of 6.

Lovely 

Lodge 3 -  nothing like website photos! Dirty and sticky furniture and surfaces - dirty stained rug. Rusted raditors and cracked floor tiles. Patio area unsafe and dirty. Cupboard that houses hoover etc had no screws in the hinges - dangerous. Broken stair spindles outside. Table on patio cracked glass, dirty with a full ash tray from last guest.  Cobwebs on dirty windows.I would have left but there was no availability that could cater for my family - we were in Derbyshire for a family wedding.
The only saving grace was the beds were clean and the towels were OK.

I would not recommend this property. 

The site grounds and bin area were well maintained- view are lovely. 

WESTON WOOD LODGE - LODGE 3 YUK!

. The first thing we noticed was the building work! There was no one to greet us and keys were left pinned to the notice board despite it only being 16:10, the accommodation was spacious but the bunk beds were unsafe and the mattresses were lumpy. We had power issues with both the electrics and the hot water and although there are 2 TVs, there is picture breakup on the one in the bedroom and the one in the lounge had no remote. We tried unsuccessfully to contact the owners. However once we finally managed to do so ( by ringing the site sales office) response was efficient. Disappointing short break and hot tub time marred by the chug chug of the tipper trucks.

Building site

Myself and some friends went for a long weekend and had 2 lodges between us. The lodges are very worn and tired looking, it seems that no work has been done on the lodges for years which is a real shame as they could be nice if a little bit of money was spent on them. There was no staff around all weekend which isn’t great as we had a problem with the septic tank in one of the lodges which made the en-suite and outside the lodge stink of sewage but nothing much we could do as there was no one there to raise this with. Some of the kitchen doors would literally just fall off in your hand (or on your foot) as it was broken which is quite dangerous especially if you have little ones staying in the lodge. The decking around the lodges is very slippy once wet as this clearly hasn’t been jet washed etc for many years. The cooking facilities weren’t great and there isn’t a lot of pots and pan in order to cook so advise you to eat out as a lot easier. The mattresses in the bunk beds are awful and you literally can feel every spring so we had to put a quilt underneath the kids so they could get sleep as it would have been so uncomfortable to sleep on and I would hate to see an adult try to sleep on them. All in all I wouldn’t book to stay here again as there are a lot nicer lodges for same kind of price range and for the conditions of the lodge I feel the price is very over priced.

Lodge was definitely not VIP

Absolutey disgusting arrived Friday eve got  into lodge 29 filthy floor freezing cold damp to say the least went straight  back to reception to complain all locked up rang emergency number and the manager off site was So rude I could of punched him £300 for two nights  what a joke it smelt it was dirty with dirty dishes still in the dish washer. Damp  broken wardrobes black mould everywhere see photos

only good thing was hoseasons refunded our money and said  for us to leave and they would pay for hotel the manager of the site never showed his face

Western wood  lodge wouldn't touch it

recently returned from a new year break here, what a dirty hole!! bed linen hadn't been changed and used towels and bathrobes had been dumped in the wardrobe of master bedroom and drawer of the other double room. dirty cutlery/plates left in the dish washer,dirty roasting tin left in the oven. couldn't cook food in the oven as the rack didn't fit when we put food in it it fell to the bottom if the oven, glass falling out the oven door.wooden floor in walk through to bedrooms coming up and sharp on the foot. Reception never open so trying to get clean bed linen and things fixed were near impossible. rooms smelt musty,cracks in the ceiling,black mould on ceilings and up the walls, slugs kept appearing in the bathroom. no DVD player as advertised,tv worked when it wanted to. under a direct flight path which we wasnt aware of. view from the lodge was like a building site, no view from hot tub as its surrounded by 6ft fencing. DO NOT BOOK!!

Disgusting

We ended up at this park after the hot tub was faulty at our chosen park. We were allocated the Locksley VIP Lodge 2. The is nothing VIP about this lodge!

- The fixtures, fittings and furniture were very worn and looked decades old.
- The kitchen tap was so loose we didn’t dare use it.
- The dining chairs were unsafe to sit on.
- There was a cigarette burn in the sofa and dirty marks on the hallway carpets.
- The blinds in the kitchen and bathroom would not open.
- The oven was unusable as there were no markings on it to indicate the setting or temperature. 
- The remotes for both TV’s did not work.
- There was no DVD player in the lounge, just an empty shelf where it should be.
- The front door had a gap at top of door that you could fit your finger through.
- The wifi code provided was illegible.
- Most importantly, the hot tub did not work!! It didn't get hot until the 2nd day, and the air jets did not work. 

The woman who checked us in disappeared an hour after we arrived and we never saw her again. There were no other staff around. We emailed reception with the issues while we were on-site but had no response.

40th birthday weekend ruined.
