Innkeepers Lodge Edinburgh West

My friend and I stayed last night whilst we were in Edinburgh to see a show at the Playhouse. From check-in to checkout, we had a great experience here. The hotel has a car park so we drove through to Edinburgh, where we would normally just take the bus. We arrived and got checked in smoothly. On getting into our room, we found it was set up as a double rather than a twin This was no problem they sorted the beds for us when we went for dinner. The food we had for dinner was lovely. My friend had the roast at the carvery, and I had the vegetarian roast. Both were piping hot and very tasty. There was a great choice and plenty of accompaniments to go with it, including the famous Yorkshire puddings. We both had apple pie and custard to follow which was delightful. The staff were so efficient and friendly our server Donna is a gem, very helpful and chatty and arranged a taxi to take us to the theatre. We used our key card to get into the hotel on return with no problems. After a great sleep in the very comfortable beds, we went for breakfast. Which was £7. 99 for all you can eat! Wow, what great value such a huge choice of items including vegetarian and vegan choices. Again nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We reluctantly checked out very smoothly and set off home. We will definitely be back!
