A last minute decision to visit Wales & couldn’t have picked a nicer place to stay, got stuck in traffic but were still greeted with a warm smile even though we were an hour later than planned.
Comfortable room with everything we needed. Full breakfast kept us full all day!! Really felt that nothing was too much & such a lovely friendly hosts. Will definitely be going back x 

We promised we would return to the Allt Y Rheini for a long weekend having visited 3 years ago and just adored it. Our return visit was even better than we had remembered it .
Our room (bay window) had fabulous views and was still beautiful with the sheets, towels and finish in the room were so luxurious and unexpected for a B&B.

The Owners Christine and Mike are so charming and helped us with local restaurants, walks etc. 
The breakfast was sensational, all local fresh produce (eggs from their own hens!)
The local village Cilgerran was a revelation - a visit to the local pub was delightful .

We loved it and will return for sure.

Where do I start, this place is a hidden gem, please follow the directions on the website as its tucked away of the road down a long driveway, its like stepping back in time to a slower pace where you leave all your troubles behind. Our room was the bay window room with magnificent views of the valley the room has wonderful linen on the bed and fluffy white towels a small fridge and tv which we didnt watch as we preferred to just sit in the window watching the cows and bird spotting with a glass of wine. Always hot water and a good working shower and a lovely touch Evelyn and Crabtree shower and shampoo products which are again attention to detail. Breakfast was fantastic and cooked fresh to order by the lovely Chris and it's all good quality and anything you want including fresh fruit and yoghurts, fresh orange which you eat in the elegant  dining room/ lounge overlooking the valley from beautiful crockery another touch of elegance.
The house is being lovingly restored by Chris and Micheal and they are certainly doing a great job whilst keeping the B&B running.
We cant wait to return and see how they are getting on as it's a little peace of welsh history and placed in the best setting in cilgerran.
Great location for getting to the coast and local attractions the norman castle in the village is a must and the masons arms in the evening if you want to really experience local life in this friendly village. Chris and Michael made us so welcome even when we were late in every evening and late for breakfast most days. Staying here made our little break away very very special. We will definitely return.

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at this wonderful B&B. We stayed in the ‘Bay’ room and enjoyed amazing views over the stunning Welsh countryside. Chris and Michael were so accommodating and friendly and have worked hard to restore this unique building. Would have loved to stay longer but will definitely return.

Allt Y Rheini is one of the most peaceful and beautiful houses in which we have stayed and we could not have asked for more friendly, welcoming and attentive hosts.  Chris and Michael are a wonderful.  Our bay windowed room provided stunning views over the countryside and we felt as though we had slipped into a scene from Pride and Prejudice as we sat in the beautiful wing-back chairs, drinking our cups of tea and listening to nothing but the birdsong; not a car anywhere to be heard.  Breakfast was fantastic and served in beautiful surroundings.  Further to this, our wonderful hosts provided us with binoculars and pointed us in the direction of the Cilgerran Gorge where we went and had a beautiful walk along the river Teifi.  We really wished that we could have had more time to explore.
Chris and Michael have certainly worked incredibly hard to make this a beautiful place to stay and in restoring this Mansion to its former grandeur.  Simply Perfect. Chris' interior design skills are wonderful and she gave me invaluable advice for our new house.   Cannot wait to return to their idyllic and beautiful house.

We stayed for 2 nights but could easily have stayed longer.  Our room which has been lovingly restored looked across the fields where you could sit in a wing backed chair.  Our hosts Chris and Michael are delightful people who are hard workers and are trying to bring this grand old lady back to her former glory.  Chris cooked us a beautiful breakfast each morning.  As this is a work in progress you are only able to use and view the breakfast/morning room where you have your breakfast but this has a lounge and tv and cabinets full of beautiful things but they are working hard and hope to open up more rooms in the future.  There is also an interesting history behind this old house and they have compiled a book with old cuttings etc for guests to read and are only too happy to talk to you about it.  Will certainly stay there again when travelling through Wales.  Sorry it has taken me so long to write this review Chris.

A great stay at a country mansion. As two weary cyclists who'd got drenched then our stay was delightful. Great hot shower, super wi-fi, wonderful breakfast and very hospitable hosts added up to a good experience.

The house is down a side road and then long track. I'd recommend that you Google the exact location before you get to Cilgerran to help with directions.

Our hosts Christine and Michael were so welcoming.Our room had a huge bay window where my husband and I were able to sit on two cosy armchairs watching out over the beautiful countryside.
The breakfast table was set out really nice with breakfast made to order and a joy to be had.We were totally spoilt.
The Mansion is a little off the beaten track and we missed it on the first drive up so do not worry if you do this.We just back tracked and found the entrance where we then followed a winding lane down to the property.
Parking was easy.Plenty of space around if you don your walking shoes on and fancy a walk.
We will certainly return and thank you Christine and Michael for a great stay.

Lovely stay! The hosts, Christine and Michael, gave us a warm welcome, offered to help with luggage and went above and beyond, taking us to pick up the car from where we had left it the night before. 
The room we stayed in was lovely, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed and more. Spectacular view from our room.
Great selection of breakfast available and cooked to perfection. 
Would like to return and spend more time here and exploring the local area sometime, and would unreservedly recommend this fabulous B&B to anyone.
