Super time away.👏 Hot tub when the sun goes down and the twinkly lights makes you forget all your worries. 🫧Great day trips to tarr steps and valley of rocks, even saw seals and goats. The hosts are great at communicating and were super when we needed them in an emergency!!! 💖The pool was great for the kids and the views are beautiful. The beds are comfy and they provide everything you can need. We had fish n chips from the village which was super. All in all the relaxation we needed after a stressful start to 2024.❤️ Thank you Diane and Gary for providing a home from home and the chocolates on arrival didn't last long!!! 🍫

What a wonderful place, we booked last minute to get away for some peace and tranquility after experiencing a bereavement and the place did not disappoint.
The lodge was really lovely well equipped with everything you could need, little welcome pack of tea and coffee and sugar and a box of chocolates to welcome us.  The hot tub was wonderful, very relaxing and just looked out across woodland.
You could sit on the balcony and look across to wonderful views, see the Alpacas and of a night could sit and listen to owls and all the wildlife and watch the stars.

We booked the pool and steam room a couple of times. Our little girl loved we got it to ourselves for 2 hours.  She also

A lovely base to stay and explore or if you just want peace you can stay and just have a little wander around, a walk to the pub just down the road.  It really is up to you the sort of break / holiday you want but what a lovely place to stay.

The hosts are welcoming and have tips to help you make the most of your time and very friendly.

Would definitely recommend and we hope to return but for longer than 3 nights that much we do know.

Great short break away, 2 adults and 1 child. Lodge was very well equipped with literally everything you could need. It was also very clean and in a fantastic, quiet location. Outside space is good with a deck to the front with bbq stand and seating and a rear courtyard area with picnic table, seating and hot tub. The hot tub was brilliant, warm with lots of room, covered so you could sit out in all weathers. Plenty of parking space near to the lodge. We used the games room and pool which was nice to have on site. Use of pool needs to be booked for a small fee and you get the whole pool to yourself for 2 hours. The hosts Diane and Gary were very friendly and communication with them was easy and helpful. 

We used this location as a base to explore Devon. First day we when north to Lynmouth and Woolacombe and the next day we ventured south to Paignton and Torquay. 

Overall a great 3 night stay, wish we had booked for longer and will definitely be back in the near future.

Once again we spent a lovely week at Exmoor gate lodge's. Peace, quite and an Olympic size hot tub. In the tub looking up above you are 100 foot tree's. Spectacular views from the veranda. 
Private indoor pool, sauna, steam room, Gym and games room. With Great walks around the area. Best lodges by far that we have stayed in. 
Looking forward to staying again in near future and seeing the alpaca 's 🦙

We had a lovely break. The lodge was really well equipped and a perfect location for exploring the local area. The recommendations of the bear inn and all of the walks were perfect for us. Great hosts allowed us to check in early and gave us a complimentary swim that the kids loved. Highly recommend 

We had a fab time staying in a lovely cottage with our dogs. Highly recommend this property because the location is ideal for exploring and the cottages are clean, comfortable and everything has been well thought out. Ideal for us as dog owners and added bonus of a hot tub. The owners are very friendly and helpful!.

Was a perfect few days. Owners had great local knowledge when suggesting places to explore and where to go out for food. A quiet secluded lodge with plenty of space and a peaceful woodland view from the hot tub.

The Lodge we stayed in was stunning and spotlessly clean and tidy, the hot tub was fantastic to and well situated for sitting out and watching the sunset and stars.  everything we needed was there, and the hosts were lovely and greeted us on arrival and showed us around and explained the hot tub to us. we could not of been made to feel more welcome, and felt so relaxed by the time we left.  The games room was a  big hit with the kids and adults a like,  plenty of Air Hockey and Pool games. We would def recommend and will be back ourselves
