Heathy Lea Bed And Breakfast

This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was amazing!! Beautiful house with a great location (around 15 mins walk to Chatsworth House and close by to other touristy sites). The rooms are immaculately clean and breakfast was delicious! Thank you Angie for making our stay an absolutely enjoyable one! Will definitely come back again!

Really great stay. Perfect location with the fields opposite, stayed in a shepherds hut with our dog (in the woodlands hut). cosy and well kept, lots of kitchen equipment too. Would recommend. Walking distance to lovely pubs and Bakewell is a short drive too:

We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary with a two night stay here. It's a lovely building and house inside is immaculate. Our spacious room overlooked the Chatsworth estate. 
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a huge choice of breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely a place to re-visit.  

We wanted somewhere to stay in close proximity to Chatsworth House as we had booked a tour to experience their Christmas theme!! Well you couldn’t get much closer as this place is in the grounds of the estate and a wonderful location you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else!! We did drive past the entrance but that was due to the terrible weather we had on our drive up from Cornwall!! Everything was explained on our welcome email so we didn’t expect to see anyone when we arrived and gaining entrance to the house was straightforward!! We had room 1 overlooking the deer park and we saw quite a few later on in the evening which was magical!! The room was great and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and as we stayed 2 nights it was just as nice second time around!! Thank you to everyone at heathy lee for making our stay so special and we would love to come back!!

A really wonderful B&B, so friendly and comfortable.  We were there for just one night but we had a good night's sleep and a lovely breakfast with locally-sourced bacon and sausages and lovely yellow eggs.  Hosts were very helpful in answering questions and responding to requests.  A high-quality establishment and very good value. 

This B&B is fabulous.  The house itself is a Grade II listed building and is full of character.  We were in Room 2.  There are windows on 3 sides of the room and the views from all of them are lovely - right out onto Chatsworth Park.  We could watch the deer wander around the park in front of us.  The room is spacious and well appointed.  The bed large and comfortable.  The room was warm and cosy and the bathroom was all we could want, bath and shower with plenty of hot water.  Breakfast was delicious and filling.   Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.   Would highly recommend a stay in this B&B.

I have just returned from a three day stay and cannot fault this little piece of Paradise in Derbyshire. The whole house is spotless. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The house is situated in an idyllic location with magnificent views of the Chatsworth Estate.  Breakfast is superb with so many choices and served by the family. All in all a wonderful stay and I can't wait to return. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.

Stayed for a night. Fantastic location and friendly host. We could see the deer right outside the front door in the morning and you open up onto Chatsworth Park. You can walk through the park to get to Chatsworth House. its sublime.

Spent 3 nights here.  Large, comfy bed.  Quiet room (number 2).  Friendly staff.  Great breakfast.  Great to be able to walk straight out of the door onto the Chatsworth Estate.  Will definitely be going back.

Booked for two mid week nights and can say it was a great place to stay.

A old style house in a really quiet location. Easy to find on road into Baslow. Short drive to Chatsworth House which was the purpose of our trip. Had a great visit to the stately house.

Bedroom 3 is light and airy with a warm comfy bed. Bathroom was fine, but bring slippers as that floor could be a little cold.

Great breakfast on both days. Cooked breakfast done nice and fresh.

Instructions from Sally prior to coming were really helpful and she makes you very welcome

Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area to book the Heathy Lee.

A fantastic place for a short break.

Chatsworth House tour

We have just stayed at this beautiful property for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay very much and our room 2 was large and bright and had everything you need. The grounds and surrounding area are gorgeous. Breakfast was very nice too. 
We arrived in the dark on a very foggy evening and we did find it hard to locate the entrance from the main road as the signs are not lit up. Other guests we chatted to at breakfast had also experienced the same problem and driven by twice. We really feel it would be an improvement if the entrance and the car park were better lit. The night we arrived no lighting was left on at the door and we were trying to use our phones to see where we were going and access the key pad at the door. We managed but it wasn’t the best of starts to be honest. It would have been nice if the following morning we had even been asked if everything was ok and had we had any problems as we saw no member of staff when we arrived. 
To sum it up yes we would visit again but only when nights are lighter. We always prefer to walk in to Baslow on an evening  but it was quite scary to be honest as the road is extremely busy and even with the torch provided we didn’t feel safe.

An Amazing Place to Stay

Lovely quiet and convenient location

What a lovely place this is, tucked away about half a mile from Baslow.
We stayed in room 3 which overlooks the little river flowing through part of the garden. Room was spacious, clean and ensuite was the same and had a massive shower.
Chatsworth House is a little over 1.5 miles away and is accessed through a field at the side of Heathy Lea. We had a few drinks at night outside and it's in such a pleasant location.
Great night's sleep and breakfast next morning was really nice. Well cooked local produce and the staff couldn't do enough.
The owner Sally runs a great service and a lovely B and B.
Will definitely be staying here again in the none too distant future.

Night away

Me and my partner stayed here Saturday to Sunday. We were greeted by the lovely owner who made us feel at home straight away! The rooms where spacious welcoming and clean. The views were lovely and relaxing. The bathroom was clean and body wash provided. The bed was comfy and extremely warm! The breakfast was amazing! We are definitely returning! Thank you for such a amazing stay!

The most amazing experience

What an amazing B&B, a true hidden gem  Sally (the owner)couldn't be more hospitable if she tried. The rooms are wonderful, clean with a lovely decor. The beautiful views that surround it are picturesque, and it felt like we were in a postcard. The location is in the Chatsworth Estate and an easy walk to Chatsworth House and Gardens. We would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you Sally!
