This Establishment saved our Holiday, after walking out of the Copper kettle yesterday we was just going to call it a day and travel home, until a lovely young lady at the Snooty Fox Establishment told us the Kings Arms did accommodation,  we nipped in and luckily for us they had a 2 floor apartlet free, what a little gem we found beautifully decorated with tastefull fittings and fixtures, lovely big comfortable bed and marshmallow pillows, Craig and David havnt been here for long but everyone is so pleasant and helpful and we can't thank them enough after the bad experience we had next door

We Both had a fantastic meal last night. the staff were welcoming, the food was amazing really high standard.We will definitely recommend to friends and family. Im sure we will also eat again at the Kinds Arms. Well done to the owners as running a pub is not easy. They are doing a great job and should be proud as the hard work definitely shows in the standard of the food and flavour.

Food was just great.. lamb rack and chicken green curry was awesome!!! ...fab to stay with our two dogs who loved it.. beer (crag) was great.. service was great.. lovely and friendly... Sophie was chatty and simply excellent... most impressed..

We booked here for my mums 65th birthday… we can not recommend this place highly enough. The staff, the food and the service are amazing! Greg the owner was so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. I always say, no one cooks a Sunday roast like yourself, but the Kings arms go above and beyond!

Fantastic food from Chef Greg and amazing service from the start. We were offered special cocktails on arrival from the wonderful Reece. Ordered a fabulous Shiraz with our meal. Highly recommend the Korean Chicken and the Sea Bass. Great night!

We were booked to stay in the next door hotel called Copper Kettle however we were early for our check in time which is at 2 pm. Our reason was that we were attending a wedding at the nearby church and was hoping to be able to check in early. The hotel we  were booked in was not able to accommodate due to the fact they were not in. While we were by the hotel a lady next door from the Kings arms hotel named Helen was very kind  and gracious to offer one of the cottages that she just recently cleaned for us to get changed to give us enough time to prepare for the wedding event.She said she knows the owners and they are friends. She wants to help out. With respect we also did our best to keep the room clean and tidy. We were there by almost 2 hours. We will never forget that kindness and the least we could do is give this commendation for this wonderful act of kindness. We plan to go back to Kirkby for a short holiday and we will certainly consider booking at King arms. With that short experience we had in one of their cottages, we observed superb cleanliness, service and ambiance. I would also like to specially mention Helen. You are one of a kind and we are very grateful!

Ross and Gregg, who run this great pub/restaurant have it totally nailed. Super pub atmosphere and amazing gastro menu which changes as the seasons do. A very friendly, open, convivial place to have a drink or eat and have a chat with whoever is in the pub. Great formula, great People. If you are in Kirkby Lonsdale - give it a try.

We’ve been coming to Kirkby Lonsdale for years and often popped into The Kings Arms. It has changed hands a few time but for the last 4 years or so the owners have invested love, time, creativity and passion for running a pub. It has grown and evolved. The TV screens for football have disappeared and instead lovely decor, cosy atmosphere, great music, good beers and warm staff.
We ate on Fri and the food was delicious. My husband had Cullen skink followed by trout. I had goats cheese & ham hock salad followed by roasted squash and Harrisa 
It was superb, fresh and tasty. 
Well done guys, you are doing a great job.

Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. Just a little bit different. Roast potatoes. Purple carrots. Greens. Cauliflower cheese. Gravy just as said before delicious. The staff are so friendly too. Particularly the lady who was dressed like she was in the 40s. So friendly and professional can’t wait to go back.

Having been out yomping all day and not eaten since breakfast we were very hungry. I had the Sunday Roast Beef dinner, my wife had the Lamb Shank. The beef was beautifully pink and well cooked, the Lamb simply fell off the bone. The vegetables (parsnip, beans and Savoy cabbage) were perfect, the roasties superb, the Cauliflower cheese gorgeous, and the gravy was to die for!
I have never had such a succulent, flavoursome roast anywhere.  The Cauliflower cheese was so good that I had a small bowl of it as dessert!
My only complaint? No spoon to scoop up the gravy to totally clear the plate!
 Great decor, lovely staff and good drinks choices to boot. This is a winning combination. Book it if you can to ensure a table!

A fantastic Meal

Stayed here recently for the weekend and despite it raining all weekend enjoyed it .
The cottage was compact and nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities,small fridge,shower etc. located in the center of the village. Only snag was there was no parking and had to use the public car park.
 Hotel itself is lovely with a good atmosphere and friendly landlord and staff with a good choice of drinks. We ate there the first night and the food was good but thought a little pricey but cooked well.
 Definitely would return if visiting again.

Simply The Best Sunday Lunch, Ever!

Lovey little cottage - maybe a little small for 5 people in that there is only one bathroom but we stayed for two nights and would definately recommend it. The Kings Arms is litterally opposite and the guys who run / own it are 100% so friendly and helpful. Greg & Roory and their staff Reece were just the best - cannot rate them highly enough - and the pub food isn't "pub" food its is top end restaurant food and the drinks - cocktails were delicious too. 
(oh and we have to wish Reece the very best too - studying medicine! )
