A wonderful English country Inn experience. Excellent and friendly service, attentive staff and delicious food. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Great value for money and we will return for sure

We were heading to Bakewell for the weekend and decided to stopover in this area on our way.  The friendly welcome from Mia on our arrival was continued by other staff members during our overnight stay.

We chose dinner from the set menu and it was superb and obviously very popular.  Food, wine and service could not be faulted.  It was also great to see that the Boot Inn is not just a restaurant with rooms, it is a community hub.  Local people could also go there just to drink and chat, no music and no TVs, just like pubs used to be with a buzzing atmosphere. 

Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast.  

Parking is tight and we were lucky to get one of the last spaces.  But it wasn’t far to a local car park.

We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need.

Characterful building and a memorable stay.Room as expected was of a similar old theme (given the age of the property) and while pleasant, the en-suite bathroom was a little small for my liking.  Ambience in the restaurant on the evening was second to none, and while the service itself was excellent, I hadn’t really appreciated that the half board arrangement was a cash allowance rather than an invitation to pick and choose within reason (until it came to pay the next day !) - my bad perhaps, but then again it would have been good to have received a heads-up beforehand.  Other than that, it was a really enjoyable stay

Excellent stay at The Boot Inn service was prompt efficient and staff were extremly accommodating and friendly.

We had a lovely stay at The Boot Inn. Spacious and well furnished room with a super comfy bed. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a meal at the restaurant which was 10/10. Only minor issue was the bathroom in the room was really cold, even though there was a small heated towel rail it never really warmed up. Despite this would definitely recommend and hope to stay again if visiting the area in the future.

Perfect, comfortable bed and everyone so friendly

This fabulous eatery with rooms in the ancient village of Repton is very special. We have stayed here and eaten breakfasts, brunches, lunches and dinners many times. It is exceptional.

1. The service is always excellent. The staff remember you and seem genuinely pleased to see you again - nothing is too much trouble. 
2. The recently renovated rooms are quite beautiful and luxurious. 
3. The food, no matter what time of day, is exceptionally well prepared and presented. 
4. Finally, the wine list. The Boot serve fabulous wines by the glass. No need to buy a bottle to cover all courses, tastes and then match the food - which never works. They use a wine preserving system, so the wine does not go off. Fabulous! It is also an opportunity to try wines that by the bottle may be expensive. 

In case you didn’t realise, we love The Boot.

An unexpected delight

Really, Really Great Food, Amazing Wine, Beautiful Rooms.

The room was a reasonable price, just not well thought out re layout. Shower was quite mouldy and the showerhead needed a good descale. It was also a tad noisy as it was almost in the car park. Service wasn't great - quite slow, and they seemed to be struggling with the 'system' but staff were all pleasant.

Ideally placed for our stop off point

Stayed for new year. Restaurant is excellent food really is superb and staff attentive. Things that need improvement no water in rooms, rooms are at very different standards eg one room had nespreso machine other booked room was half the size and no express machine. Also should have dressing gowns etc as it is not a low cost hotel and needs to compete with the competition. All that said would we go again possibly, or more likely stay elsewhere and just go to the restaurant as a guest not a resident.

Absolutely superb, thank you to the staff, faultless service for last minute change of stay. Thank you! Food, beer & wine was amazing in the afternoon/ evening. Stay here, please! The room was fab, clean and well appointed. Considering we booked another place nearby that wasn’t quite what we expected this was a big hit.

Check in staff were very friendly.. Food at the restaurant was very high quality, room was spotless clean and well appointed. Shame the TV didn’t work (when mentioned to staff it seemed it had been faulty for a while) Comfy bed but was woken early as the curtains let in a lot of light. Despite the little issues I would recommend and would happily return, particularly to the restaurant

Fantastic stay, just a couple of little niggles

The Boot is a very friendly and inviting pub and restaurant. The staff are attentive to your needs and the food is excellent along with a good choice of beers and other drinks.The accommodation is lovely and all individually designed, giving it an upmarket and more opulent feel compared to many other comparable venues.You won't be disappointed if you attend here and i would highly recommend a visit.
