We stayed the night here and were beautifully looked after by Joseph who welcomed us, showed us the detailed workings of the room and presented a wonderful breakfast. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed and sofa. The view is amazing and the area is outstanding. One night was not enough. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful find, really unexpected to find such fabulous five star accommodation and scrumptious home cooked eaterie in this delightful village!  A really good stay, the hosts were charming, welcoming and kind.

We were stopping a good 40 min walk away. We loved popping into this pub. Mother father & son are so friendly. We had a beautiful New years day meal and delicious pudding. We will hopefully be back in the summer. Dog friendly beautiful views & clean toilets.

This ideal pub set in a pretty location is a must stop off point for real ale, good food, great service and great fire. 
The staff and locals were very friendly and we were made to feel so welcome.
There is a good choice of local ale and good homemade food.

The second time we have visited this lovely pub and we always want to go back. The welcome you get is like your old friends, the drinks are reasonably priced and as for the food - I don't think we have eaten anywhere as good ever! We miss it already and are looking at dates to come back. Thank you Ian, Emma and Joseph for a fantastic time x

Ian, Emma and family made us and the other guests very welcome. Lovely, comfortable rooms, good food and a proper breakfast each day.  Excellent evening meals too. On top of the hill in beautiful Powerstock in Dorset's Hidden Triangle, this is a super, quiet and relaxed location. Ideal place to get away from it all.  In front, it's a country pub, at the back the vista is quintessential England at its best with views to die for.  Go now while England still exists and step back in time just a little.

The room was lovely, very comfortable with everything you need. Our room was quite large so plenty of space for our Doberman to stay as well. Great bed - very comfortable. Stunning views and surroundings of the idyllic Dorsey countryside. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent. Pub its self has a warm atmosphere. Great choice of beers to accompany home cooked food. Owners are very accommodating and welcoming. 100% would stay again. Think Cerberus agrees too! 

We loved our stay at the Three Horseshoes Inn. Ian, Emma and Joseph are all wonderful hosts who made us (and our miniature dachshund) feel really welcome. Our room was spotlessley clean and nicely decorated. We arrived on a sunny evening so the views of the valley from the Juliet balcony gave the space a real wow-factor. We dined in the pub and the food was excellent, complimented by a great range of drinks and real ales. Breakfast was excellent quality, plentiful and the perfect start to a day's exploring. I highly recommend the Three Horseshoes Inn for a relaxing stay in the Dorset countryside and hope to return.

For anyone looking at this, you don't need to search any further. This b&b is so accommodating and friendly to the point we had such a lovely time- we didn't actually want to go! 
Set in a beautiful location, and central for exploring Dorset its ideal for couples and families alike. Our room was large with wonderful views overlooking farmland and fields, a very comfy bed, super clean and we had all the facilities we needed in the room. We ate both nights in the pub after a full days activity. Emma along with everything else is an amazing cook providing a delicious menu with plentiful portions. Ian and Joseph behind the bar are a great team together. Ian is very entertaining with his quick wit and Joseph very attentive to your glass! With the locals in the pub and the friendly banter, its like being in someones front room with new found friends.
In summary, a lovely well run traditional family pub, in a quiet hamlet providing a centre point for the needs of a local community, as well as providing guests with a homely comfortable experience.  What else could you ask for? Thoroughly recommend a stop here! Wishing the family all the success they deserve.

What an absolute magnificent find…….nothing but rolling hills and valleys leading to this quaint village pub and B&B. The Jurassic Coast is also nearby with West Bay only a few miles away too. 

Absolute bliss with only the beautiful sounds of birds to wake you in the morning. 

The landlady (Emma), landlord (Ian) and their son Joseph provided a very warm welcome where nothing was too much trouble. 

Our accommodation boasted one of the most comfiest beds we’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and a very spacious suite /en suite facilities. 

Emma, Ian and Joseph made sure we wanted for nothing and their hospitality was boundless. Knowing that we weren’t from the area, they even invited us to eat with them on more than one occasion and provided us with great local information, allowing us to venture out and explore. 

The atmosphere was always welcoming and food first class. All dietary needs were catered for by Emma without any fuss or complication. Ian entertained us with his many stories and music choices whilst Joseph waited on us with drinks and food as requested. 

We will definitely return… we gad a fantastic time and feel rejuvenated. Thank you so much!

Beautiful Gem in the Heart of the Village

Lovely large comfortable room with a view and a chesterfield really good shower. Marvellous base to check out Bridport (street market day Saturday) Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Ian with Joseph's help sorted out the bar, Emma cooked delicious meals, different every night, all written on the board in the bar. Joseph served and even though a late teen has a very good attitude. They are a lovely family. Easy parking. Easy to find the three horseshoes coming from Dorchester, just turn off right at the palettes and follow the road till you get there. 2 rooms are dog friendly and we do plan to visit with our friends next year. Providing you are not expecting 5* ambience in the bar area I felt we were treated as 5* guests. Thank you Em Ian and Joseph.

Pub with a View (or 'We'll come again........')

We stayed 2 nights at the Three Horseshoes in deepest, darkest Dorset. The roads to the village of Powerstock are narrow and winding, but the destination is worth pursuing. A lovely, welcoming pub run by the very friendly Emma and Ian in the heart of beautiful countryside. Our garden room was spacious and comfortable with fantastic views over the hills and valleys. The bathroom was large and the electric shower worked fine (which is a good thing because the hot water takes a long time to reach the sink tap!). The meals we ate in the pub were home-cooked and delicious, and breakfast was cooked to order (at whatever time we wanted) and was also amazing. Thank you, Emma and Ian, we had a lovely time and thoroughly recommend your delightful inn.

A comfortable stay

We had a great 2 night stay at the Three Horseshoes Inn.
Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a lovely en-suite bathroom.
The food we had during our stay was both delicious and plentiful. The cosy welcoming bar serves excellent local Palmers ales.
Emma, Ian & Joseph made us very very welcome.
We highly recommend the Three Horseshoes Inn and will definitely be back.
