Lovely stay, friendly staff and really helpful with children too. Excellent restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

Steve, Kerry and all the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely and clean. Comfy bed. Cracking breakfast. Easy private access for returning late when pub is closed. What more could you ask for 😊

Our room was very comfy, very clean and looked freshly decorated. The food was fantastic. We arrived early and had such a good lunch we came back with family for a meal in the evening. The full breakfast was great too.

Welcoming staff. Comfortable clean room. Easy to find and plenty of free parking. Food in the restaurant is excellent. We have dined many times now and never disappointed.

Very good for one or two night stay. It is primarily a restaurant which happens to have a few rooms. Food at dinner was amazing and cooked to order, local produce used too. Very friendly welcoming staff. Breakfast basic. Rooms recently nicely refurbished, room 3 better and bigger than room 5. This is not 5* accommodation but adequate and ok for couple of nights. We will stay again because bars and staff splendid.

Excellent stay within easy reach of our location for the following day. Room was comfortable and clean with the Bell Inn situated in a lovely village. Food was very good with good gluten free options for my wife. Staff were very polite and helpful

Rooms were comfortable and the area was quiet. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Only drawback was the limited parking space at the hotel, especially on a busy night. Side road was also often full.

Very good stop over

Enjoyed a one night stay in the lovely village of Eckington.The area has many lovely walks and gardens to visit, Croome being one of the closest. The folder at the hotel gave clear details. The room was quite small but the bed was comfortable and the duvet wonderful. The room would have benefited from having a chair. The freshly cooked breakfast was very good!

This is primarily a restaurant which has about 5 guest rooms. We had room 5, which was a basic, small double, no frills. Kettle and a few drinks packets. No chair so had to sit/lounge on bed.  Tiny en-suite with lovely hot water and shampoo/ shower wash  Comfortable for one night but no longer. Big plus however, is the welcoming friendly professional bar/restaurant staff and superb quality food. Breakfast was sadly a let down.  Server not so friendly.  Basic 2 cereal and orange juice toast and cooked. My omelette was brown, heavy & overcooked. The poached egg was undercooked and straggly.  We will stay again as we regularly travel that direction.

Fabulous dinner, welcoming staff.

A superb choice within easy travel distance of the Upton Blues Festival - our main reason for staying.  Exceptionally friendly, very welcoming, very cosy and great food (breakfasts were superb and huge!).  Will be staying there again.  Thanks to everyone for giving us a great 3 days - and making the washed out (pouring with rain!) Saturday totally enjoyable at your place!

Loved this - extremely good value

Great pub with 4 rooms in Eckington. Check-in was easy at the bar. The room was nice, bed huge and bathroom clean and functional. The room could benefit from having blackout curtains fitted. However that's the only criticism. We ate dinner in the pub and it was high-end pubfood - delicious too! All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice country location with great food 😋

Nice comfortable room.Lovely breakfast. Fantastic evening meal.... The homemade pie possibly best I have ever had. Very friendly and welcoming staff.Only down side our room No.5 traffic noise from road and barking dog from shop at 5.30am Sunday morning wasn't great.I think better double glazing would fix this.But overall would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant stay at The Bell.

We stayed for two nights. The restaurant, service and food was very good. The decor and furnishings were good quality and clean throughout, but the bedroom disappointed us because there was no storage place for our clothes etc! No wardrobe, cupboards or draws.However, overall we enjoyed our stay because the staff were friendly and helpful (under the difficult Covid conditions) and the meals were excellent.

Lovely food, but crumpled clothes!

Described as a restaurant with rooms, and at a very  reasonable price including breakfast. We were unnecessarily anxious about it being any good.This is a modern village  pub, serving a range of good food with friendly willing and happy staff. Bedroom  and breakfasts, were very good, as was dinner, and bar bill all at very affordable prices.The only thing to criticize is that by priceing their services so low, they are under selling themselves. I know it's good to exceed customer expectations but price is also often a guide as to quality.We will definitely be trying to go back, for several nights next time. Thank you.

In these difficult times we were made very welcome. Given a key to the back entrance so we did not have to go into the Pub/ Resturant area. Room well decorated and up to date. Beds comfortable to lie on and sleep in.We ordered a take away from there menu and food / meal was very good, with service up to our room.Faults :- shower very hard to regulate to a constant temperature.:- double glazed units in our room had blown and were showing condensation inbetween glass panels.Outside :- Plenty of parking.:- Lovely well stocked post office and general stores just across road which serves the village community.Would we go there again - most definately yes.

Overnight stay

Lovely warm welcome despite the late arrival.  Shown to room quickly and given a clear explanation re everything we needed to know.  Beautiful room, spacious and good facilities.  Only issue for us was the bed was quite firm but I guess that is a personal taste rather than anything being wrong with the room. Breakfast each morning was fantastic.
