INCREDIBLE staff, Isaiah is an excellent welcoming manager, Gerald a great butler, and all the staff is very kind and respectful!

This is the place where I will come back if I come to Kyambura, I really invite all the people to come and enjoy this beautiful hotel where you feel like at home!

They prepare everything for our Christmas morning and the whole lodge and they look incredible!

Please come and visit this place, where you feel nourish and very happy with outstanding team!

And don’t forget to take your massage (wow!!) and say hello to the chef that is also amazing doing all kind of food

Nestled above the lush Kyambura Gorge, with sweeping views of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the distant Mountains of the Moon, Kyambura Gorge Lodge offers an unforgettable blend of adventure and luxury. Each guest enjoys the attentive care of a personal attendant, adding a special touch to the experience. Nicky, the Lodge Manager, went out of his way to make our guests feel welcome.

On safari, Queen Elizabeth National Park, a biodiverse paradise of grassy savannahs, lush rainforests, papyrus swamps, and volcanic crater lakes. This impressive reserve spans 1,978 km² and is home to 95 mammal species and over 610 bird species, giving it one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve.

After a mid-morning game drive, we returned for a delicious lunch at the lodge, followed by a relaxing siesta. In the afternoon, we arranged a walk to the waterfalls and on to the Women’s Coffee Co-op, an inspiring beekeeping project, and a guided buffer zone walk with tree planting—a wonderful way to give back to this incredible ecosystem.

Kyambura Gorge Lodge is more than just a place to stay; it’s a gateway to Uganda’s natural beauty, rich culture, and vibrant community. Meals were fantastic, with a menu that celebrated local flavors, and the thoughtful staff made every moment special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking both luxury and a deeply immersive Ugandan adventure!

This hidden oasis is stunning, peaceful, relaxing. This is our fifth stop on this 3-week trip to Africa (Kenya and Uganda) and we’ve stayed at amazing (comparably high end) camps and lodges all along the way, but the service and accommodations at Kyambura Gorge Lodge have been the best!  

If you are lucky enough to get Isaiah as your butler and primary contact for your stay, you are in for a world class experience. Isaiah is professional, attentive, ultimately accommodating and warm. The food is excellent. (We had the pleasure of meeting the chef—what a talented guy.) Everything here is beautiful yet understated and pretty close to perfect. 

Priscilla, the manager, runs an excellent operation, with all the warmth and hospitality you could hope for. 

Recommend the lion and leopard tracking in the park, and the women's community coffee tour. Chimp tracking is also a must (even if, as was the case for us, the chimps manage to evade). And we went back for a second massage during our stay.

Everything about our stay there was literally extraordinary! The lodge is stunning. The surrounding landscape beyond peaceful and filled with the most wonderful birds and butterflies and occasional baboons. Every detail is carefully curated and they treat each guest like family. The manager Patricia… there simply are not adequate words to capture her amazingness. I was so sad to say goodbye to her! And Gerald who helped us feel so taken care of- what an amazingly wonderful person.  You literally cannot find a more extraordinary place (not to mention who also support the local community in so many ways).  Staying here was the experience of a lifetime.

The best luxury safari lodge in Queen Elizabeth Nationalpark. I could not have asked for anything more. I was pleased with everything thing. The special attention to details. They are willing to bend backwards just so to make you feel at home. One of the best locations to stay at while tracking chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge. Kyambura Gorge Lodge and two other Volcano Safari properties visited are some of the best resorts I have ever experienced during my travels to over 70 countries in the world.  Kyambura's team is managed by Pricilla - a professional who makes certain every element of your stay, the welcome, property, food and service are all top notch.  Our dwelling was exquisite - spacious, decorated with local art and set looking over the gorge treetops and we were wakened each morning for our adventures with singing and coffee in our room from our private butler.  Francis led our team of drivers/guides that drove us between the lodges and adventures.  He made certain we all were safe and comfortable (including lots of snacks!) during the 11 days.  One of the highlights of our stay was a boat trip on Lake Edward.  Driving there in our Land Rover we came across a family of around 12 elephants.  During the boat trip we literally saw thousands of birds and animals - it was beyond astonishing.  Uganda and Rwanda are diverse, fascinating and beautiful.  We experienced forests, savannas and mountain jungles.  As an intellectually curious adventurer who also enjoys luxury, Kyambura was a perfect stay.  My only regret was having to end this trip of a lifetime.

Wow this lodge is stunning. The service, food, staff and  attention to detail makes this lodge something special. Our lovely  butler Isaiah looked after our ever need. We enjoyed two massages and found a few hours to sit by the pool to enjoy the stunning view. We loved everything about this lodge.

Immersed in the breathtaking Kyambura Gorge, the Lodge is a haven of natural beauty. With lush surroundings, delectable cuisine, and a warm and attentive staff, our stay was nothing short of magical. Mande, our incredible butler, added a touch of luxury to every moment. The highlight? Our unforgettable encounter with chimpanzees. A truly exceptional experience!

Luxurious and friendly

This is one of the best places to stay while on your trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The place has the best view of the Kyambura gorge and perfect for  sunset.  We had the best customer care thanks to our Batler Pamella her customer care was incomparable . She was ever on time and took good care of us.
