Buk Inn Hotel Kamala Beach

It is just like the positive reviews say. Clean, modern, friendly and safe. The couple who run it are always charming, cheerful, and hard working. The wifi is excellent and very helpful because you communicate with them via Google Translate. It works really well! I booked for a fortnight and like it so much I extended my stay. To address the concerns; the hotel is along the main road and rooms giving onto this side are noisy. I slept my first night on this side and I needed earplugs but that solved the issue. I’m writing this from my room on the back side of the hotel and there is no noise at all except the mosque which goes off briefly at 5.30 every morning. I find it charming and five minutes later am asleep again. There is no nightclub at the hotel but the rooms at the northern end are above a restaurant/bar. There is some music but it’s not an issue. I listened out at midnight before writing this and apart from the street there was no noise. Of course there are no bedbugs! Everything is spotless. (See earlier bad review). There is a kettle and a fridge, and the hot water and water pressure in the shower are excellent. My only gripe is the safe: both the rooms I’ve used have a key instead of a combination lock, which I would prefer. The key looks like it belongs in s bike lock. In all this is a great place and I recommend it to you and wish the owners every success.
